Wow I'm first in the overall  shows what a weird TdF it's been!
Shame I've only got 2 in the top 10 of GC really as it'll see me slip right down after Paris. |

On a mobile atm but if it's the login hanging bug just refresh the page after it hangs and you should be able to access your team. |

Nice one!!!
I finished 3rd overall so just above you  It was a fun little side comp.
Looks like my TDF team will gain some places but not to many, should score 1120 points with my GC riders finishing in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 19th, 29th but that's about it, my team just didn't get the stage wins that keeps you competitive in this game.

Cheers! I actually slipped down to 5th in the all entrants/overall league from 1st overnight but even if Kittel had taken the last stage, as I hoped, it would only have been good enough for second. Not enough points in the end of tour GC.
With the benefit of hindsight, one mistake was Barguil - there were signs of weakness in even the B list Tour de Suisse so should've gone with Meintjes, who was in the frame for that spot of my team. Considered Yates too but disregarded that idea quickly so shows what I know!
Can't complain, by far and away my best GT showing, helped by the unusual pro breakaway racing and a healthy slice of luck. |

I'm now seeing a Volta a Portugal page on velogames. Are we doing this? I know almost none of these riders. Going to have to really do some research on this one. |

Pretty happy, 1k overall, well my mind in 1 sentence:
If i had froome instead of quintana i would go for adam yates for bardet but bardet scored good points or i would go for 4 credit guys and cummings got good points but what if i changed my sprinter to a worse guy than cavendish btw i could get majka for cavendish at wildcard but if i did that i would probably pick a worse guy then izaguirre in terms of points so but maybe that could not happen....

Huge congrats to Ian and Strydz, superb effort guys!
22nd in our league, I'm ok with that. Again, my issue was trying to get a few top GC guys like Quintana and not going for people who would do well on individual stages like Cavendish, Pantano or Sagan.
Quite difficult to do well this year with only one 4-point rider doing anything significant (Clement - 378, next best was Erviti with 140) and two of the most expensive riders being clearly the best - not having Froome or Sagan instantly cost over 800 points! The overall winner had both of them and only one 4 point rider, who actually didn't score anything all tour but the rest clearly more than made up for it.

League table has been updated.
Congratulations to Ian "I'm rubbish at Grand Tours" Russell on his second league win of the season. He's opened up a not quite, but almost, insurmountable lead of 75 points at the top. It's going to take a mammoth task to overhaul him at this stage however there appears to be a game for the tour of Portugal which I wasn't expecting so it isn't mathematically certain just yet.
Ian was assisted in this game by many of the top 25 places being taken up by players who don't appear to have entered any of the previous games this year.
Congratulations also to Sergi Carbonell who appears to have entered just 2 games all season yet has managed to accumulate an impressive 98 points from the Giro and the Tour. Could possibly have given Ian a run for his money if he had entered more races.
Good luck in Portugal. and the rest of the season. |

Looks as though the Volta A Portugal is going to be a good chance to pick up points for people who know about the lower tiers of cycling and a case of just picking 9 random names for the rest of us |

Got myself a nice wee prize after taking out the local comp  Didn't do amazing but had a solid team other than Sepulveda and maybe Barguil. Whoops for forgetting the daily league again

Like last year the pricing on some of the riders is a bit odd. One thing I will tell people is the in the Volta that the Local teams are the ones to follow, this race produces numbers on the climbs that remind me of the 90's EPO fueled free for all's, Volta a Portugal should be renamed Volta a No Doping Controls

I assume so. It says the results will be updated by11PM on the day of the results, although the stage finished later yesterday.
It also says Fantasy Tour de France complete on the homepage.
I'll check the results again tomorrow morning and if there is any change I'll updated the results table. |
