200km TT/leadout by Tony Martin? Not watching but is Alaphillippe even pulling? Apparently BMC worried enough to be riding hard already.

Yeah they are swapping turns but the gap is at 3.45 now so they'll get caught

Looks like it. Greipel saying it's not for him and seen fetching bottles to back that up. Tinkoff helping too, now there's more than a sniff.

Just tuned in. I like this break. If Julien lets Tony ride, he will maybe be allowed to ride.

Only Champs Elysse left, this might be the first ever TDF that Greipel doesn't win a stage in Shock

I just saw that the estimated arrival time should be 17:50h CET. Is the peloton soft pedaling it again or was it planned to arrive so late?

Scheduled late finish for 17:50 but stage is running ahead of time now as Tony Martin in the break and everyone else not keen to give him and Alaphilippe any rope.

They've been going very fast. Swiss finishes are always planned later than usual.

Well I think this years dominant sprinter in Cavendish will pull out of the race tomorrow and Kittel hasn't looked in top form so Greipel might get that stage victory in Paris

Possibly.
Hmm, though I do recall a particular edition, I think in 1952, where Greipel didn't win a stage, too. Can't be sure, though. Pfft

Seriously now, I hope Greipel can get his stage. He's always good for one and he's a great guy, so here's hoping for his delivery in Paris.
I've heard on Sporza that since his crash in Algarve he's not been sprinting as before. Could be.

might sound a little strange, but I think Greipel has done too much Mountain training...he is (for a Sprinter-Type he is normalyy) absolutely amazing on the mountains so far, not only based on the stage in the break but also on the other mountain stages he was really strong relatively...

maybe he lacks his usual power on the pedals when it comes to speed due to 2-3kg of power package missing...

Tony Martin just put Sagan in the perfect place by making the stage so tough

Sure? Champs-Élysées is still a prestigious win and Cav is top favorite there with the high amounts of wins he has there.

Etixx Sandwich alright. Guess they were hoping that no-one would be too bohtered before a rest day and that the pure sprint teams would have doubts with the complicated run in. Over to Sagan, Matthews and Van Avermaet or just maybe Coquard or Cavendish/EBH.

I know he's a favourite with his history in Paris but I still think he pulls out on tomorrow's rest day

Albasini would also make sense in Switzerland

He has been super strong too so fair enough if that's the case.
