That's not confirmed yet is it? Pretty sure that is just the contingency plan of what they will do if the winds are as bad as predicted

Quintana is so boring, do not understand those people keeps with him (e.g. Riis123).
Fortunately he loses again. Froome simply is a much more complete rider. |

It is a shame but 10km at nearly 9% is plenty enough if the riders choose to make the most of it. |

Can't really argue with the decision, they wouldn't of cancelled one of the iconic summit finishes in Ventaux unless they had no other choice, it's one barren mountain so I can only imagine what 100 k winds would be like up there. As you said it's disappointing but better than nothing

We can bet they will hit that 9 ks pretty hard now so should be fun to watch

People are behind Quintana because he's the only one who can beat current "king"..and also because for payback your annoying hype posts

Screw my Mortirolo comparision, with the first 5 kilometres not included in the profile, its really similar to PSM. Also a one climb stage, should be fun. |

Apologies for the repetition from earlier but apparently it's something like this :

I didn't have a chance to watch the stage today and can't view YouTube summaries because of slow internet, so can someone be so kind and explain what happened in today's stage? The results looked quite weird to me |

Hard stage, peloton split coming and going. Last 10+ km, Sagan twist free with another Tinkof rider, Frome follow with another Sky rider, bingo stage win.
All this off course based on hard winds.

Online race report will probably do a better job but basically:
Strong cross-tail wind from the start
splits on and off nothing decisive and all back together for bunch sprint until...
last 10km more crosswinds and Sagan well placed rode off the front with Bodnar and then Froome with (just about) Thomas getting across too
very strong quartet with disorganised tired chase behind led to a sprint with green beating yellow
Rodriguez and Meintjes the only GC losers to the tune of a minute

So they don't like him because he wins, but they can like Sagan, even if he wins the points jersey every year. Makes no sense.
I'm with riders for what they do and Quintana does nothing. |

There is no reason to "debate" why someone like or dislike riders, that is just a part of sport in general to pick a favorite.
Nothing wrong with that, would be a bit boring without it.

Of course. I can understand those who are fond of Sagan, Cancellara, Froome, Nibali, Contador and so on. But Quintana? Has has shown no fans who backed him, they just hope someone else loses. |
