I think its more due to its a big break and they have 2 big winner candidates |

1. No way in hell Alaphilippe will win. I even doubt Martin myself... Would have bigger chance of winning if they sent a rider into the actual BOTD. |

Combined forces of LS and Etixx are bringing it back - Cav will probably be relieved...if Sagan doesn't get in the next move that is |

Yeah probably too hard for Ala, but shouldn't discount him today IMO, and throwinig a rider in the break after wheeling them in and defending Kittel makes sense to me. |

Good for TV viewers that it will be gruppo compacto just as TV coverage starts. Well get to watch the new breakaway form. |

This is actually perfect for the big gc teams. Give GVA 15 more minutes today so BMC have to control the peloton for another couple days
GVA, Nibali, Lutsenko, T. Martin, Cancellara, Cummings, Langeveld, Kiryienka, Roelandts, Vuillermoz, Bakelants some of the names in front

What an epic breakaway there and peloton lets it go. Cancellara, Tony Martin, Vuillermoz, GVA, Nibbles and many more |

It would be funny if GVA went all Geraint Thomas after his injury, training for climbing without people knowing and he will only lose a minute per mountain stage
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

GVA will pay for this madness later, but it is fun while it lasts.

Sometimes I hate that rule in Velogames that only max 20 riders counts as a breakaway. Why not make it 30? |

Great to see yellow in the break, chapeau GVA (by the way his climbing was pretty good during winter training camps - captured most of the Strava summits down Calpe way; will not cope with 20km mountains, but today should still be good).
Now the game of chicken between the favourites team starts in the pack, who to do the chase? I wouldn't have let such a big/strong group go personally!

"A breakaway will be defined as a group of 20 riders or less, with a measurable gap of five seconds to any groups behind them."
So no... GVA and Martin :/ ... |
