An easy flat stage before we head into the Pyrenees. Expect another easy going day like Monday and Tuesday. Hopefully just as exciting a sprint.
Completely flat. A roundabout and a slight bend will string out the pack. Will we finally see a working leadout?

Just one of those days ahead of the mountains. Get it over with. The sprints have been more exciting than I ever can remember in this year's Tour, but its cheap excitement. Too predictable, too flat, too boring. Will tune in to the last 20 km again.
Movistar looked great today. Moreno finally showing himself in 2016, his only focus has been the Tour and he comes into shape at the right time. Are the roles reversed and will Movistar be the aggressor in the Pyrenees and Sky on the defensive? I have that feeling that Quintana is stronger than Froome right now, he didn't look particularly good today. But only small signs. |

For me it´s all about matching Froome as long as possible...just sit on Froomes wheel as long as you can and wait for a bad day...
I don´t want to do it but again I say that Greipel might take it...hopefully de Gendt goes into the break so that Lotto-Soudal doesn´t have to work and are fresh to settle a train

But Froome has taken a different approach.. or has he? Thats the question. Your take that he just might sit on the wheel on Froome for as long as possible is viable and probably the most realistic, but after the showing today, I think Movi smells blood. They know they have the team and Quintana is definitely better than he has ever been. Meanwhile, Froome had problem closing that gap. I know its small things, BUT, I hope for a Movistar and Quintana attack on stage 7 or 8. Just to try him out. See where he stands ahead of Arcalis, the big showdown, Froome that is. But its just reckless speculation on my part, I like to do that.
Couldn't really care less about tomorrow. Kittel is the favourite I guess, nobody gets hurt and we are fine. |

Hmmm, trying Froome out makes him angry, and Froome in angry mode have been the only time I´ve seen once. It was the only live pro race I´ve ever watched. And I stood near the KOM with 1k on Ax-3-domain where the Sky duo killed everone after a mid-range attack of youngster Quintana and Nieve in orange. That was a disgusting day for me as Sky-criticer, even more disgusting has been the opponence (Mollema and freaking TEN DAM in Belkin colours behind them but chanceless of course).
I don´t want to ever see Sky winning again a TDF mountain stage like that...

Kittel, Geipel, Cav for the win fight and Sagan, Coquard, Groenewengen to fight for next spots. Probably a very boring stage until last 10kms. Sprints are great this year though!

Is the Tour de France becoming too safe?  <---this is not a serious question
Morkov and Bennet have perhaps suffered the most so far, hope they are feeling slightly better with the first rest day coming into sight, though they have some tough Pyrenean stages to survive this weekend. |

Too many PED's around clearly. Back in the day riders didn't dope and got tired and had to quit. Now they just pound more and more dope, it's a plague!

Bardet went really HAM with that attack yesterday only Quintana and Pinot followed. Froome didnt seem to react that quick, he got towed to it by Henao who seems to be the best of Skyborg Ltd. Id say advantage Quintana so far. |

Ah yes, back in the 90's, where riders did 250 kilometers over seven mountains and through all the snow, and still had the energy left for a fistfight after the stage. It was the best of times!

Trying to work out why Matthews was contesting the intermediate sprint, unless he knows something we don't like Sagan, Coquard, Kittel or a whole bunch of others plan on withdrawing before Paris then I don't get why he was sprinting for that
