let's ask again when stupid crashes have took Froome down few times.

Agree.

Sprint teams need to employ hockey-style enforcers to knock those skinny GC guys off their bikes if the interfere with sprint set up.

Why not implement something like this? Only on flat stages which havent got shaken up in any way ofcourse. But with some justifications is it easier to find more positives than negatives with a rule like this imo. Could save the riders for alot unnesesary crashes

Or we could just teach the GC teams some respect.

Honestly they're the ones at fault here, they shouldn't be sat at the front trying to protect their leaders, all they are doing is getting in the way and making it more likely that there will be a crash by narrowing the amount of space that the sprinters teams are able to work with.

They wouldn't appreciate it if it was the other way around and the Sprinters teams tried to sit at the front in the mountain stages and block them from working or from being positioned well so they shouldn't do it to them.

If the GC teams would just sit back a little bit further then the road suddenly becomes twice as wide as there's half as many riders wanting the same spot and you'd find guys have more room to move and there would be less crashes and the GC men would have more time to react and avoid the crashes that happened. As it stands they are crowding and making a crash more likely and giving themselves no time to react should one happen at the front as they'll be the first ones on the scene and if it's near them they almost guarantee that they will be caught by it which is the exact opposite of what they are trying to achieve.

Contador will find it difficult to close that gap. Now his TdF is officially finished.

Some OT question: If you're watching on Eurosport. What ads are you annoyed by?

Alpecin? Speedo? Worst here is one for Bulls E-MTBs.

Van Av - few secs - De Gendt - 2.5m - chasers incl Majka (all from early break too) - 6m - GC group but only 25ish left there

That's total time from the front of race and Van Av just left De Gendt.

De Gendt cracks. This guy went back from almost winning a Giro to anonymous rider in a very suspicious way.
