Never posted in this thread, maybe someone has shared it privately in past, but never with my approval.
While pointing out the odd available rider is allowed after 1 week, that doesnt stretch to something such as this. This can still be of great help to managers who are not done yet, and nobody should be given such a free easy ride.
All thats required is patience and a bit of respect to wait for it to posted after transfers ends. And if someone has the time to put the db together like this then they should consider actually helping out, rather than taking advantage of the list collation work, duplicating our efforts and then jumping in to post it first.

Fair enough, I can see the rationalisation for that. I just distinctly remember working from a publicly-shared DB in previous years to write up previews. Anyway, I'll wait.

I'm surely not lacking any respect and am surprised that posting the db is interpreted in that way. I also remembered dbs posted by others before transfers end.
Nevertheless, sorry for posting the updated DB, I didn't know it was not allowed. |

Perhaps stupid question on bidding on far east Asians - do we use DB name or Asian naming customs for threads?
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

We always use the DB name, I'm sure it would get too confusing if we used the Asian naming customs as not everyone knows which nations use them and which don't (I know I don't) so you'd end up with lots more duplicate threads and it would be harder to tell which ones are the right name..
Maybe it would be worth suggesting adjusting their names in the DB so that would follow their naming custom?

A confounding transfers related question!
With less than 48 hours to go now, any FA bids opened will go to the 'auction' style closing system if I understand correctly. If you wanted to purchase a rider and then loan them out is this now possible. How would you do it technically - list the loan thread as per usual in the expectation of signing the rider?
Thanks!
Tough one. My gut says that you cannot in fact loan the rider out, but I'm sure either SN or roturn could rule on that one.
Yep, a loan would not be possible in this case

Does the +3 and +4 recovery also apply when training the Track-Sprint programme? Or is it only for Sprinter programme?

Only sprint, I've been obsessing over that file for a while

Thought it applied to both? At least that was my understanding, the bonus is triggered by going from 74SP to 75SP, or 75SP to 76SP. |

Only is stated on the sprint table. Not sure if it is in general.

From my understanding every kind of programme or training that brings a rider to 75 SP / 76 SP gets the bonus as long as the rider is a sprinter.
E.g. Willi Willwohl will get the bonus after the season, while someone like Ponzi will never get a bonus.

I think I even remember SN once said it would apply to everyone but stage racers.
But the part that's definitely true is that it is not dependent on the training program you select.

Yes, it does - I asked SN for clarification over this and it is just a general rule whenever a rider goes to 75/76 Sprint. |

I hadn't realised that, I had thought the recovery bonus was only applicable to the pure 'sprint' training programme. Will have to review my pre-planned development programme with that in mind, see if any of my guys would benefit from a track bike for training!

Cool! I thought it was only applicable to Sprint training because it was only there. Although, I was always only about 70% sure. It does make more sense to have it as general rule. Thanks for clarification!

I got the bonus for Coquard while training him as a track sprinter to get a good prologue. So indeed Silvestre could have been better. I was quite surprised to see how you developped him.

Probably would not make much difference in practical terms but it would take him to 80SP 81AC 79PR 75TT instead of 80SP 81AC 77PR 73TT

Yeah, which would have made him a better prologue rider than Coquard - So no complaining from me
