wait...I just wanted to argue how badly they're placed in the worldrankings...but they're 18th

Also, why is Argentinia in 1st and Belgium in 2nd, Colombia 3rd, Chile 5th and Austria 10th?!?!

So pleased about that Austria result in the end. Ronaldo missing a pen and thinking he'd scored despite being offside by half a pitch, at least he shook hands this time. Despite the Portuguese dominance there were still chances for Austria to score. The last round of games in that group should be really good!

My opinion is still the same. I hope we get into the round of 16 and play a team that does something other than defending.
I mean...austria lost vs hungary, and they only defend against Portugal? Even if they created some chances, their main focus was defending.Their coach must be hoping to beat iceland. Iam sorry for him but he can't beat iceland.
Another important point, Ronaldo should raise his head when he has the ball instead of shooting even if there are 2 defenders in front of him. Fernando santos should let quaresma play on the left flank and let him play as he likes without any restrictions. Otherwise there will be no creativity in our game.
Finally, Portugal has a great problem. We can't score. The lack of a (good) pure striker is a real problem because we cant finish plays.
More than 40 shots in 2 games and 1 goal scored.
Hoping that hungary will try to win the game against Portugal , that way the match will be more interesting, but i doubt it.

Never before have I seen a more undeserving remis but I'll take it. The goal rod and off-side remain austria's great virtues and we shall be proud of it. We should win against Iceland if they get an early red card and make a late own-goal. Tu felix austria

Also on my way home from watching the game in a pub, I went by the citybike rent and went down a little side road. of course there a police car pulled up, blinbed me in my eyes. You know nothing about football, when you call to a team that has been bad for a long time for the European Championship favorite. You could write that you think that Portugal can surprise, but to call a team that has long been bad for European Championship favorite is ignorance, stupid and silly.

Well, i think i still have the right to give my opinion.
I have a lot of confidence in my football knowledge.
How can u call a team "bad for european championship for a long time " when Portugal went to the final once and the semi-finals and always lost against the best (except in 2004) since 2004 till now? |

Well, but if you can't score goals and have extreme problems when a team is "only defending"...you're not a favourite.
Portugal is bad in every big competition they're in.(Last time, they were good was 2006, but even then they couldn't hang with better teams)
For me, it just looks like you're searching for excuses, because Portugal is not playing like you hoped they would. They're a dark horse in every big competition they're in, and they can't even impress in test matches, like belgium does f.e.
Portugal is extremely overrated. And I say that eventhough I like Ronaldo.
