Vague beat @Muur, obviously we are nearing the end of the world as we know it

A perfect chance for Vague to take his first Continental Jersey, but unfortunately there was one stronger up the Mur and one smarter in the break |

Perfect energy saving for Scandinavia... I hope Lachy makes it three - he could do this another 6 times but not sure if he has the motivation

I'm chewing a bit on the U23 matter at the moment.
I think the U23 might get a bit faulty after all these seasons as there are way too many young talents and they're coming faster than they can make them.
So I was thinking that maybe it'd be good to limit sign-ups for next season (ain't expecting a lot anyway), seize U23 a bit for now and just concentrate on the races of the Elite Men. Just give the U23 a place at the WC, like the Women.
This way, the speed / general flow of the game will profit from this, I think.
What do you think? |

Not completely related to what said above, but: What will happen to van Niek? |

I'd say U-23 was nice for the idea of new guys but there don't seem to be (m)any, best wait until WCs for their race and perhaps a "van Niek, likely winner of the U-23 World Cup already, attacked the field" type comment to fill us in without a huge song and dance. Best move on to Herne Hill, and then the Rumbles in the ice Jungles

Just letting everyone know Herne Hill preview should be coming pretty close and the race itself hopefully this week, too |

Great report Ian, enjoyed it very much. The finish got me on the edge of my seat.
Vague with 21 pts lead over Lipawsky and Mazzarelli is perfect. Superprestige is his to own.

I'm a less-active member of the boards (despite repeatedly telling myself to post more I always fall back to lurking), but over the last couple of months I've really got into reading the CX:AND thread and wanted to show my appreciation.
I discovered CX;AND about the same time I found out that the UCI have a lot of the WC races on their YouTube account, so by reading & watching I've developed quite and interest in the sport of Cyclocross - so much so that I've been looking at some of the amateur races here in the UK and considering having a go in the winter.
Please keep up the good work, as it's been a lot of fun to read... Especially that latest Herne Hill race... WOW! |

Awesome to hear bro, nice to see it's influenced you to get into CX as it did for me
Anyway, the more said about that great report and the less about Listerijn being shyte the better. Great read Ian!

What happened to Visconti? he was pacing the chase then when Van Dyck attacked he just disappeared and wasn't even on the next time check.
Also how impressive was Van Dyck to make it seem like there was 2 of him on the second lap, maybe if he'd saved some of that for the finish he wouldn't have been Zabel'd, I doubt he'll make that mistake again.

Seems so. Still a few races left, but he can defend it with quite a margin, now.

Visconti did his work but then dropped out quickly. Could've been a flat or something happening off-camera, but could also be a bad day. He's had a lot of them lately.
Van Dyck with an impressive race, but a rookie mistake
Anyway, let's continue with the Torku preview! |

Well that's what I get for missing a race.
Looks like I have to make a post, fortunately I've finished my MG season now though
