Nice one for Latour. Problem is french media will immediatly declare him
the next big hope for France to win the Tour.
Yeah they will hype him up but he's luckier than riders like Rolland were as at least now we have multiple French hopes

You can have Latour, I'll have the good looking Romain Bardet instead. But what a ride! #looksonthebike>actual results
Just caught up on the stage. Very nice breakaway action and all of the favourites showed up. Tomorrow's MTF is harder and then you have the epically hard Rettenbachferner. Stoked for that stages and hopes it will be better than last year's. Super open race, I hope Lopez will be better the coming days. I had expected him to follow the best or even win today, I think many had, slightly disappointing. |

I was going to say he picked too early. But if he's going to La Vuelta, it sounds plausible.

Too bad for Nando that 2/3 of the stages finishes uphill, lol. |

It's not just me who will be happy. Cycling wins too!
Nice to see Latour giving it a go inside the last kilometer and even having enough in the legs to outsprint lame duck Garderen and Jesleyhcrash.

Did you see the footage after he crossed the line? Latour was destroyed which I guess wasn't a surprise

This should be the profile for the final climb today (although there's no official profile or anything). Looking at the altimetry of the stage profile it doesn't look like they're going right to the top of this profile, I think probably finishing at Altschen. But this climb is basically 10km @ 10% and it's not HC?
Damn this Tour de Suisse route is the most ridiculous (mostly in a good way) thing I've ever seen

Tejay van Garderen is my favorite to win Tour de Suisse overall.
I keep of course with Team Sky and Geraint Thomas |

From what I understand they're only climbing around half of it. |
