you are putting it as though froome winning the tour is the universal evil. I compare Froome to Armstrong and Sky to US Postal.Their style makes GTs very boring.Also the Sky fanboys are ridicolous so they play a big role in that too.So I don't want him to win.Also I like some of Sky's classics riders like Rowe,Kwiat,Henao and Moscon and also the mountain goat Nieve
And hype around TVG.What?

I think that Froome will win overall as the first mountain suits him with only one major climb and the Ventoux stage suits him as well with only the one big climb again. |

I don't think Sky are to blame, rather Contador not being anywhere the level we expected in 2013 and 2015 to put up a fight. When Sky are aggressive, as they were on the two first MTF's, we get some of the absolute best racing; Ax-3-Domaines and Saint Martin. That along with Quintana's conservative approach until 5 kilometres left of La Toussuire and Nibali being under par, we got a relatively stale Tour - but not because of Sky, rather, their competitors.
Its usually fun to see Froome race. He is aggressive and when he has to make the time up, he goes for it 100% as does he on the first MTF of the race. Much rather that than the ultra conservative first mountain stages of 07, 08, 09, 10 and 11, fx.
I say cut them so slack. |

Froome will just build up a lead like he has done before and just extend in the ITTs which suit him and just defend the lead |

I didn't like Movistar in last years Tour either.They rode pathetically.And the other stages became very boring when they dominate the first mt stage because they easily reeled attacks with their super-doms.Also some like Quintana became afraid of attacking.Agree about Contador and Nibali being in horrible form though. |

I got the feeling that the TdF won't be as entertaining as the Giro.
I hope for some freak stuff to happen so that maybe Kelderman will
have yellow after the Pyrenees. |

If Thomas is not in the top 5 after the first mountain stage i'd be very surprised it looks tailor-made for a sky train up with possibly 3 of them in the top 10 of the stage |

Hopeful Sky will finally get the point that they can't control the race for 2 weeks with the field which will be at the tour and let a big break away on stage 10 and stage 12 with a secondary GC contender so we can see a change in the lead. |

Seems as though he has learnt from his mistake at La Toussuire and is ready to put the pressure on.
Seemed in a buoyant mood and was looking forward to the mountainous nature of the route, in particular the return to Morzine, scene of his victory at the Dauphiné four years ago which started my love for him. Vamos Nairo! #SueñoAmarillo

I think many of Nairo's biggest fans were born in Morzine. He seemed to be the answer to Sky at that point (safe to say it was their most dominant year), his downhill was spectacular!
I can't wait to Sud. He should won that race relatively easy.. |

Froome wins easily and destroys all on the first mountain stage, on Mont Ventoux stage and time trials, so he is far in front and defense victory home on the last mountain stages.
Quintana becomes number 2, lose much time on the first mountain stage, on Mont Ventoux stage and time trials, end of the race wins he little of all the lost time back, but it doesn't help anything.
Aru playing Rodriguez 2013 and runs up to third place in the last week.
1: Froome
2: Quintana
3: Aru

Anyway... I'm hoping we'll see a reprisal (or maybe even bettering, depending on the situation) of his performance there this year. That win came at a real low point for cycling in terms of excitement, coming off possibly the dullest Giro in history we had a Sky 1-2-4 in the Dauphiné, wheeling out the train in preparation for that awful Tour. Yet Nairo, with his [what was then] daredevil descending and youthful enthusiasm, seemed to be the only one who actually managed to disrupt the Sky train (ok he wasn't a GC threat but he still managed to ride away from them), representing salvation and promise in terms of exciting racing.
