Rules remain the same as last year. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
If you need a refresher or are new around here, please keep reading.
Otherwise this is basically just copied and pasted.
This a tournament voting style game that takes place on this thread.
It's very easy and simple to understand as you help decide
which rider is this years PCM.Daily's Favourite.
There are 3 phases to this voting game. They go in order as followed.
We start with the classic Vote-In round.
Each member lists their 10 Favourite Cyclists in order.
#1 gets 10 points, #2 gets 9, and so forth, #10 gets 1 point.
The top 48 cyclists make the bracket and will be seeded based on votes.
All ties will be broken by first place votes and then random generator picker.
After the top 48 cyclists, the following 32 riders move to the group phase.
The group stage consists of 32 cyclists fighting for the final 16 spots.
They will be split into 8 groups of 4 through a tiered seeding system.
Voting will be conducted by ranking the cyclists in each group against each other.
#1 gets 5 points, #2 gets 3 points, #3 gets a point, and #4 gets nothing.
The top 2 cyclists in each group move on to the knockout phase.
They will be seeded after the other 48 cyclists and will be done by
total number of points received in the Vote-In Round + Group Round.
I hold the power to break any ties in this round since I don't vote initially.
Now that the 64 cyclist bracket is filled up, it's business as usually.
The 64 current cyclist will go head-to-head until we are left with a winner.
You only vote once for each match-up, there will be new match-ups everyday.
All ties in this round are broken by myself since I don't vote initially.
Questions? PM me. I'll be happy to clear up any confusion.
| Winner | 2nd | 3rd | Season 1 (2010) | Philippe Gilbert | Andy Schleck | Jens Voigt | Season 2 (2011) | Thomas Voeckler | Geraint Thomas | Cadel Evans | Season 3 (2012) | Jens Voigt | Cadel Evans | Thomas De Gendt | Season 4 (2013) | Vincenzo Nibali | Peter Sagan | Nairo Quintana | Season 5 (2014) | Marcel Kittel | Vincenzo Nibali | Michal Kwiatkowski | Season 6 (2015) | Zdenek Stybar | Thibaut Pinot | Adam Hansen |
* Each member is allowed 1 post with their top 10 favourite cyclists.
* Do NOT edit/change your rankings after posting. If you must, make new post.
* They must be active, male or female, and any cycling discipline is allowed.
* Again, ties will be broken by 1st place votes then a random generator.
* I will not provide updates as I find it influences the later voters.
* Top 48 automatically advance to knockout round.
* The next 32 go to the Group Round.
Voting Closes 6-4-16 at 8:00 AM USA EST
Voting For Vote-In Round Is Open
Here we go again, for the seventh time! Can you believe it?

1. Vincenzo Nibali - he won me over completely at last years Tour and this years Giro, he still remains though the hypocrites choice
2. Ian Stannard - My favourite British rider.
3. Tim Wellens - Exciting Ardennes rider - not many exist
4. Peter Sagan - A strong favourite for this and why not, what is not to like about this incredible rider
5. Gianluca Brambilla - Seeing a rider proudly defend his national tour colours then sacrifice himself for a young gun on his team is always admirable
6. Andre Greipal - I like Kittel and have a soft spot for uber brat Cav, but Greipal is probably the sprinter I would work my ass off for because I know he would do the same for me.
7. Tanel Kangert - The model luxury domestique for me.
8. Gianni Moscon - I have a sneaking suspicion that this guy could be really really good if he develops any more.
9. Romain Bardet - Inconsistent French climber - slightly less hopeless attacks than Pierre Rolland.
10. Laurens Ten Dam - Because he is one ugly looking dawg.
