One girl who may have stolen the show was our opening act Molly Sandén who performed her song, and DSC anthem, 'Youniverse'. She played with the LED floor, her dancers were on point and the crescendo of the song was one of the most iconic DSC moments. However we had to turn to the competitors, and Albania's Era Istrefi was an early favourite for the DSC.tv team. With a unique dance and EDM chorus, this song works so well on stage, it's understandable that the bookies are narrowing the odds. For a DSC debut, this is a potential winner maybe.

Another song receiving a lot of hype is Sweden's 'Number One'. It's fair to say that they have picked themselves up from their poor performance last time because this song is fantastic. Their Head of Delegation, lakebeach, guided K'NAAN to victory back in Helsinki, and it is not obscure to say he could do it again. The performance starts with Tove's side profile next to the huge LED wall which explodes with a cloud of colour which engulfs the performance. Tove struts around and dances along to the chorus of this little contemporary pop number.

At the halfway point, we came across Scotland. Their performer VÉRITÉ, who was born in New York to a Scottish father, sings alone on stage in this very emotional and dark song. Little icons slowly appear on the screens during the performance as she walks around in the verses before releasing some avant garde choreography in the chorus. VÉRITÉ belts out that high note and the snow starts to fall and she is joined on stage by a male dancer to close the performance. You could hear a pin drop in the audience.

Belgium closed the show, and what an ending it was. 'Work It Out' is an uplifting dance song about bullying and love which is illustrated with the characters on the screens. The cameras then pan out to show Netsky, who pours so much emotion into the performance. The camera has low shots so the flags and the audience really enhance the feeling of togetherness. It harks back to the style of MÃ¥ns' stage show 1 year ago, which subsequently won. Belgium are back and we wouldn't be surprised to see this win the semi-final.
