Renewal Rumors

Sources inside the In-n-Out p/b Carrefour team have been murmuring about which riders will be returning. When asked, the team manager released a little list the team has been compiling on who they'd like to keep.

Here it is:

Untouchable (Will be resigned no matter what):

Jakub Novak
Phillip Gaimon

Good offer needed (pending resigning:

Cyril Lemoine
Yoann Offredo
Alexendre Aulas
Robert Sweeting

Up for Transfer (pending resigning):

Mickael Delage
Cherif Abdallah
Jean-Lou Paiani (preferably to a CT team)
Blaise Sonnery (could be untouchable pending training)
Romain Hardy

Up for Loan (pending resigning):

Joey Rosskopf (PT loan)

Will not be resigned in all likely hood:

Antoine Matteau

This team is full of higher tier CT talent and seems like they are going to cash in on their CT riders and then move forward with young talent in the PCT

Thanks for keeping a good eye on Daniel Ruiz. Much appreciated. Considering you out bid us on Rosskopf last year, he is guy we could consider taking in on loan. But we will talk more when the right time comes. Smile

Where are They Now?

Julian Rodas - Transferred to Sancor in 2015

Julian Rodas was one of our key riders during our team's Inaugural season, but was transfered to a new team this season, Sancor, to free up space for Jakub Novak. However, Rodas was very pleased to move to a Southern American team and showed it with some quite good results.

Results w/ usResults since then
1 Stage (Tour of America)1 Stage (Tour de San Luis)
3 Stage Podiums (Tour of America, Tour de Beauce)3 Stage Podiums (3 seperate races)
6 Top 5 Finishes (Tour of America, Tour de Beauce)8 Top 10 Finishes (7 seperate races)
4th GC (Tour of America)

Remy Di Gregorio - Transferred to Eddie Stobart in 2015

Di Gregorio was brought in after a transfer budget mishap causing us to have to release Juan Murillo from contract. Di Gregorio served as a mountain helper/free rider for Julian Rodas and Phillip Gaimon. Di Gregorio was transfered as his salary was too high for the team to warrant keeping him, so we transfered him to Eddie Stobart to give him a chance at the PCT

Results w/ usResults since then
1 Stage Podiums (Tour of America)1 Stage Podiums (Tour of Bulgaria)
3 Top 5 Finishes (Tour of America)4 Top 20 Finishes (4 seperate races)
11th GC (Tour of America)

Benoit Sinner - Released in 2015

Sinner was signed as our main sprinter in our first season, but when Robert Sweeting broke onto the stage, he was completely uprooted as our lead sprinter. Sinner was a bit of a laughing stock for the team as he was often dropped 50km before the end of pan flat stages. Sinner signed with Pendleton's in the offseason and scored a little in the PT

Results w/ usResults since then
3 Stage Podiums (Tour de Langkawi)55 Pro Tour points
4 Top 5 Finishes (Tour de Langkawi, Tour d'Algerie)

In-n-Out Renewals Revealed

After mulling our decisions for a long time, here are is the final list of riders that the team has decided to part ways with for this upcoming season in the PCT

Antoine Matteau
Cyril Lemoine

We wish both riders the best of luck in their future endeavors. On the other side, here is the list of riders who rejected our contract extension offers during the renewal season

Robert Sweeting

Being possibly the most successful rider in team history, it is with heavy hearts that we'll see him go, but we wish him the best.

On a happier note, here are the riders we have come to contract extension deals with for this upcoming year

Transfer List Revealed

With the transfer season rapidly approaching, management has decided it would be best to release a list showing which riders we'd like to keep for this upcoming season and who we think it would be better to part ways with

Starting at the top, the only rider that we think is completely untouchable is Jakub Novak, we would need an absurdly large amount of money to move him, probably along the same lines of money that we paid for him last year (which was about 849k)
Jakub Novak119,000

Apart from Novak, most of the team is actually availible, but here are the guys whom we'd need a good offer for

Romain Hardy60,000

Aulas73556761756769737472638061
Hardy70757359736870666970747559

The rest of the team is up for grabs, mostly because we think these riders are better suited for the CT level. Gaimon was a monster for us in our two years at the CT level, and we'd expect a nice amount of money in exchange for him. Blaise Sonnery really failed for us last year, but with his absurdly all-around stats, we don't expect that from him again.

Here are the guys we'd like to see go, but would not be mad to keep them as team-mates this year if we dont get the right offer

Offredo74656973767270716166695873

The only rider we truely would like to part ways with is Cherif Abdallah, who we feel would be fantastic at the CT level as a sprinter, but we really do not want him to join our team next year as we want to put that money elsewhere than just a sprinter

First Signees include a Huge Name
As the first 48 hours of the transfer season came to a close, the first riders started signing for their respective new teams. So, we are happy to reveal our first to signees for this upcoming season
Robin Van Der Hugenhaben --> 570,000 wage
i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/MG%20Reports/PCM0530.jpg
Van Der Hugenhaben near the front at the 2014 Giro di Lombardia

FLMOHITTSTARESRECCOBSPACCFTDHPL
73778071777675656866806671

Van Der Hugenhaben was one of our top targets going into the season, and we quickly outbid everyone else with interest in him. Some may say 570k for a 31 year old is too much, but his Great hill stat, good mountain stat, serviceable time-trial stat and fantastic back-up stats makes him invaluable. Van Der Hugenhaben will be our main stage hunter for this upcoming season and will most likely ride all of our important races despite his year long hiatus from racing
Mustafa Carsi --> 50,000 wage

FLMOHITTSTARESRECCOBSPACCFTDHPL
67515467656671527678526868

Carsi is an unknown commodity with mediocre stats from an obscure country, so what were we thinking here? well, he isn't maxed out yet, in fact he's only a level three who needs 3 race days to go up to level 4.000. That means that we can have him race very little races this year while still having him level up this year and then loan him out to the PT next year. The reason we're taking this risk on him is that when he's maxed out, he'll have a 82 sprint stat and an 84 acceleration stat, tied with a 70 flat stat. That should make him a great sprinter in a few years, but for now, don't expect to see too much of him this season
That wraps up our current signees, but we should have a few transfers and free agent announcements coming up soon, but for now stay tuned into our HQ for all things In-n-Out p/b Carrefour

Star Gaimon shipped off to CT

Phillip Gaimon --> KAYAK-Clas Ohlson

Gaimon taking a victory in our first race ever

In order to free up cap space and money, we decided it was best to transfer Phillip Gaimon back to the CT. Now with KAYAK, Gaimon will be able to perform on the stage that brought him into the spotlight. With 10 top 5 placings, 4 podiums and a single victory, Gaimon was a huge reason we finished middle of the pack in our first year, and then promoted the next. Gaimon and Rodas were the first two big signings the team made, unfortunately neither is still on the team.
However, this is not all in vain, KAYAK gave the team 255k which opened many new windows for the team. Its a very sad separation from a fan favorite, but who knows, maybe in a few years you'll see Gaimon back with our team's colors

Next group of New Riders includes former TDF winner
As the time for confirming transfers and loans came, we confirmed 4 deals right off the bat, but there's more to follow
Transfered from Movistar-US Postal for free

Markus Fothen --> 370,000 wage
i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff74/CrueT/ManGame/TdF10/Stage9Screen13.jpg
Fothen winning stage 9 of the 2010 TDF, where he went on to win the overall

FLMOHITTSTARESRECCOBSPACCFTDHPL
69787174707474525364656074

We didn't actually look at Fothen as a possible transfer target, but after we saw that Movistar-US Postal was offering him for free, we couldn't pass up the chance on bringing in this former TDF winner. Now, we know he's way passed his prime and that he'll decline during the next few years, but so will his wage (hopefully). Also lets not forget that he is still a good climber with good backup stats, which we need considering our goals for this season
On loan from Netia - Norske Skog

Christos Loizou --> 50,000 wage

FLMOHITTSTARESRECCOBSPACCFTDHPL
65596460656462636767616560

Not even going to lie, this guys absolutely sucks, but we needed the 50k fee to put into other transfers. But it hurts even more considering we accepted this offer right before getting the same sort of loan offer for a better rider. No worries though, Louizou will ride enough days to level him up to level 2, but he definitely will not be riding more than that
All in all, we're very content with our signings, but expect another big signing in the coming days, as we are not done at all
