- I didn't say nobody believed in him, I said nobody expected him. If anyone would say that he'd be the leader for today's stage with 4/5 minutes on Nibali and Valverde nobody would believe it.
- I never said latinos are bad and I even prefer Chaves above Nibali. And are there even other latinos who have a chance on winning the GC? I don't even blame anyone of them for the crash of Kruijswijk, he did it totally himself.
- As if all Dutch people can talk proper English?
- It's quite funny that someone who sits behind his computer screen blames someone else for not crying in real life. That must be damn awesome superpowers. And is this crying on internet? It's just sharing an opinion, just like everybody else here does.
So please re-read my post and come back with a proper answer without insulting anyone. We don't want any fights on this forum. Thanks in advance!

On today's stage: been a while since I turned off the tv out of frustration. Very disappointing to see this, but in the end it's Kruijswijk himself who's to blame (gotta stay realistic here). Let's hope he somehow finds his way back tomorrow (a bit less realistic I'm afraid). Always sad to see someone who's stronger losing the race in such a way, but it's a part of cycling (and in the end it's just cycling).

Hopefully Chaves takes it. An amazing display of awareness and guts, although I'd like to see Kruijs getting back in Kruijs Kontrol mode and going real hard tomorrow. It's not likely to happen ofc.
Honestly I don't care if Nibali wins. If it happens: good for him but nothing new. He did a great ride today but he has won Grand Tours before, it is to expected of him that he must ride well at some point and drop those guys. I'd much prefer to see Chaves or Kruijs at the top as first timers, it is way more fitting for this Giro.

I asked after stage 16: How much more should this Giro deliver to eclipse '15? Its very close right now, a hard ridden stage tomorrow and it has it. |

Just watched this, another amazing stage... What a great GT this is, let's face it we are getting a really superb cycling season here. The cobbles were fantastic (let's ignore Ardennes they are just crappy) and this has been awesome.
Nibali really won me over today and last week what a fighter. Urinal pissed in my face a bit too well done,
Also Jungels whaddarider ... Good god lux could do with something after Schleck piss their talent away.
On big six hour road trip tomorrow sux balls could be one of the most epic ever. Almost feel sorry for old man Plaza and Chavy smiling bastard. Astana are going to destroy em.

Just watched the recording of the stage. Had to record the NOS cause Sporza were showing Ronde Van Belgie and didn't want to miss Agnello.
Han Kok (one of the Dutch commentators) half an hour before the top of Agnello: "We know how good Steven is in Italy, he always shows it here. But later on we go to France. I hope he can keep his level up there."
200 metres into France he crashes. incredible

He was not looking as powerful as last week..still he would have hold on pink. Terrible dutch cycling luck clearly involved there.
Tomorrow will be one of the hardest and tough stages. Short..hard..brutal.
My hope is that Chaves can hold on tomorrow. Chaves has 50 acceleration..he just to need climb back slowly every Nibali attack tomorrow.
Nibali has kind of GT phenomen..he just keep crawling back..and still have happy ending. |

Crap...... Think I'm gonna get myself drunk. Even though I've a 130km cyclo coming up tomorrow.
Can't blame Nibali and Chaves for not waiting, because they were trying to gain time on Valverder in the first place.
Let's hope that Kruijswijk has no major injuries, so he can defend his 3rd place. And when he keep up with Nib&Chav when they'll enter Italy again, maybe he can gain back the neede minute

Theory was that Nibali attacked on descent and forced Kruijswijk take a risk and that caused a crash.
Watching replay..Kruijswijk main problem was not crash and lost time..but total crack at final climb (it was partly caused by crash) |
