After getting some airtime on the radio we had a few more local businesses interested in sponsoring the team. Every little bit helps I guess.

Dolphin Cove Jamaica | $20 per Month

Saddle Up, Frame Sponsorship!
This was probably the hardest I've had to work so far. With no local manufacturers around, I had to look outside the box and into foreign countries.
Most companies hung up the phone on me. But, then I managed to argue my case over the phone thanks to FonsDeSpons for getting my foot in the door (even though he couldn't even spell the company's name right - so you know they were interested in getting some positive attention to their brand).

Without further ado, providing frames for us for the foreseeable future and were willing to do so at no cost to us as a sponsorship and for the publicity.

We have been given floor models pictures of the frames used by cycling team Bonsucro, ours will look very similar. Road (Aro 700) and new TT frames (VDLAER) are included in the package, the wheels are not. Designed by bikex.
Having a frame sponsorship will hopefully open doors to securing the rest of the equipment. As will having a jersey, and I have already seen a first design from one maker and, if all goes well, we should have two quality jersey to choose from.
Once the equipment is all settled then I'll renegotiate with the Jamaican Cycling Federation again about obtaining that cycling license.
Lastly, meet the team and feel free to buy a hat if you haven't done so yet.

Helmets, Wheels, Shades and Groupsets!
With the frames locked down and three preliminary shirt designs submitted to be voted on by the community tomorrow, I had a lot more pulling power in securing the rest of the equipment for the team at no costs to us.
This time I used some of my American connections and persuasion to finalize some key sponsorships. It wasn't easy in any sense, but once I convinced one domino to fall the rest just seemed to tumble.
Starting with the groupset to the sunglasses to the wheels to the helmets, our cyclists can't wait to get their hands on this equipment and start training.

Oh I think we should organise a big event in Jamaica with all of our riders. People can pay a few dollars to compete in the event, all for a good cause, perhaps, to raise our name brand! Maybe a beach race or something fun! |

I'll start with training first. As of right now it's just me and the expertise of veteran Oneil Samuels. I can strictly focus on training for a while now since I don't have to scout as much - I plan on going into the 2017 season in six months with the current squad we have now.
I'm confident in the talent we assembled. Of course stuff can happen, but that's the plan anyways.
Samuels and I aren't the best, but we aren't horrible and this saves us some money. I'll eventually let the founding members decide if we should hire a full-time staff member to do training once I get busy with scouting again.
I think you might be on to something, this could be a great way to let the locals see the team for the first time and bring some money in as well.
However, to make this happen we will need to shutdown the roads for a few hours and, more importantly, need a race course. (Also obtain that license from the Jamaican Cycling Federation, but that should be finalized any day now.)
If a race course is suggested and approved by the city of Kingston (including PCM download links) before we decide on our team jersey then this event will happen.

My cousin works in township planning bureau down in Kingston. He says they can probably shut down the roads around the University of Technology for "extra maintenance." Of course, someone would have to pay for this "extra maintenance."
We could use these roads to host a small criterium, where we invite local riders to challenge our guys. It would attract a lot of youngsters from the nearby university, plus there are a few government offices nearby.

Grand Opening Event Approved & Budget Update!
I just got off the phone with government officials and Waghlon's cousin in the planning bureau asking about holding a team unveiling event and race in the city of Kingston. They approved the concept, but with a few exceptions.

Here are the restrictions:
1. The cost. $750 to shutdown the roads and setup the unveiling party.
2. The risk. Due to liability issues, the locals can't race against us.
3. The route. We need a specific course approved in the next 48 hours.
There was a fourth hindrance, we needed the cycling license from the Jamaican Cycling Federation, but I went ahead and finally paid the membership fees of $1,250 for the rest of the year ($2,500 yearly). They refused to give us a discount.
So, with that big expenditure and a lot of other stuff happening, I think now would be a good time to update the budget again.

So, we certainly have the budget to throw this event and hopefully we shouldn't have a problem getting our money back in the process by selling memorabilia and I'll even allow for more members to join and make a donation. Don't worry they won't be founding members, just members. So, restriction one isn't a problem.
The liability issue is a bummer. It would have been cool for the public to be involved and up close and personal, but I see where they are coming from.
It's not worth the risk to put our riders in danger with inexperience fans on the road. However, I think the city and country will still enjoy our team facing off in a friendly race, and our cyclists would have a blast doing that as well.
Lastly, where shall we race? We have 48 hours to make our case. Make a proposal below and include the full route info (aka PCM stage file download links).
The proposal that gets approved by me (I'll give it a "Good Idea") and has the most likes ("Thumbs Up") by the community will be used.

Dropping the Curtain, Jersey Selection!
The most recognizable aspect of a cycling team is its jersey. After deciding we want to make sure our riders looked their best, I offered the community an opportunity to show off their best work in hopes of saving us some money.
Well, they didn't disappoint. We have three quality designs to choose from.
Also cheers to  August Charvis,  Kai Cookson and Blake Ronda for modeling the full setup. Jerseys are presented in no particular order:
