Final Farewell for the Team
With this post the team Project: Africa will bid farewell to the MG and the team's followers. We'd like to thank you all for the support over the years. An emotional good bye, let's look at some of our best memories from our first season:
Egyptian Champ Cherif Abdallah winning in Jellajah Malaysia (2013)
Stefan Ihlenfeldt wins stage 2 and takes the yellow jersey of Giro della Valle d'Aosta 2013 with a daring break on the final climb and dropping his breakaway counterparts on the descent.
Julián Rodas won the fifth stage of our first ever race, Tour d'Algerie, ahead of the CT legend Arroyo.
Last, but not least, please enjoy
>>> this video <<<
compilation of images from all our seasons as a last token of our appreciation.
Spoiler
Out of Nowhere Project: Africa is saved by Telkom!
Ladies (?) and gentlemen - at the
very last minute, Project: Africa has been saved by the South African telecoms giant, Telkom! Turns out nobody picked up on the hints of
two images of Telkom phone booths in our two previous posts.
The company was impressed by our team's image and stands firmly behind our stance to develop the African continent. By means of a big financial injection, the team has been saved and talks of a larger budget for the coming season is already underway. As for the name, the team will be known as
"Team Telkom for Africa" .
Stay tuned for more!

So how much you are willing to bid on yourself?
You riding for Telkom would be an epic glimpse of reality in MG.
