No question about the depth is much greater in the Giro this year, it was pathetic in 2015. |

62Endurance for Powless is too too low, come on he does well on the stage 4 with 217km i think |

Boaro has been Majkas best helper so far, should get at least 72 mountain and maybe 75 hills if he keeps this up. |

Yes Boaro was quite low with his mtn stat and has been increased in mtn, will certainly keep an eye on him on the climbing stages as I've noticed him being there to help Majka as well.

Have moved both Kruiswijk and Chaves to 79 after today but provisionally of course until the Giro is finished. Where of course they could remain, or go up even further.

Sprint: Kittel 83
Hill: Valverde 81, Martin 80 and Ulissi 79
Flat: Cancellara 80
Cobbles: Sagan 81
Mountain stats I wait with to Giro is finished, but Nibali is certainly not a Contador 82 level.

Betancur's mountain stat should be lowered. He is atrocious in mountains since 2013. Jose Herrada the same, not a good climber anymore.
Should probably look at Amador's downhill and fighter stat, but anymore than 77 in mountains considering the other would be too much. |

Agree, Betancur since finding some form again does look better on hills than mtns and the stats will show this.
Amador now has one of the best DH stats in the game and he is your typical 77 mtn climber with some good other stats.

I think 73 mountain for Clarke is a bit too much. He isn't better climber in high mountains than Moser (72 MO) or Brown (71 MO). |

At this moment, for the mountain stats I have in my db 83 for Froome and Quintana, 82 for Aru and Contador, and 81 for Nibali and Landa. I don't like to have Aru and Contador at the same level but if i put 83 on Contador, both Froome and Quintana have to be 84, and I think that's a little bit too overpower |

Why can't Contador have the same MTN Rating as Quintana/Froome (83)? He has been equal to Quintana this year, and better than Froome, but he could at least have an equal Rating... It's not like he has a big advantage in the other stats... |

I've been having a look at the latest .cdb, and I have made a few observations.
Gallopin: A bit overrated in climbing. The PSM 15 performance was a one-off, and he has never climbed that well before or since.
Ewan: I think his 72 hill is too much. Not that he is bad on short hills, but with his potential and development, he's gonna be a beast puncher in the game in a few seasons, and I think that's unrealistic. He's no Matthews.
Ion Izagirre: I find his MO/HIL relation a bit strange, since his results have mainly been in races with shorter climbs, and he's never really shown much in the high mountains.
Gaviria: Giving him the lowest MO in the game is wrong. For being a big guy, he has no problems getting over climbs. In San Luis last year, he was pulling on the front in mountain stages. I'd put him at 64/65. He should be no worse than Greipel.
Pelucchi: Now here's a guy who should get the lowest mountains stats possible. And lower hill. Worse climber is hard to find.
Gerrans: A bit overrated in hills. Conservative racing helped his LBL win, and his TDU performances are due to superpeaking for that race. Should be lowered at least one point.
Bauhaus: He is lightning fast. Faster than 73SPR anyway. Just a tad inexperienced.
Adrien Costa: He should be changed so he develops as a stage racer. Yes, he's great at timetrialling, but he was also the best climber among his junior generation. Could be an absolute beast.
Küng: Proved himself in a long TT in the Giro. I think he could get a cobble improvement too, to poke him in that direction development-wise. He did well in the classics this year considering he was just back from mono.
I'm not gonna comment more on the Giro performances, I'm certain they will be accounted for.

@Squire: to the non-WT-guys: Both are already mixed around in our db. Costa took an upgrade that will make him an allrounder, PCM will decide in which direction he develops. Bauhaus is at 74 SPR in our minds, but he hasn´t provenenough to be worth more. Keep in mind that we also have to account being unexperienced and unintelligent sprinting behaviour into the sprint stat, because PCM hasn´t developed stats for that (yet).
To Ewan I can only say that in my personal career he has 73 HI after two years, which is not too high for his statue and current skills. We shouldn´t primarily make stats after how they might develop in my opinion, still this is a factor we take into account though.

I try to focus on the races that the riders say are their objectives, and for this guys, this leaves only the grand tours, and in the last 2 Tour editions (not couting with 2014), unfortunately Contador didn't seem to cope with both Quintana and Froome in their peak. I know that the last Tour was a bit unfair since Contador raced the Giro, but that was is plan for the season all along.
P.S. And in that Giro he just overwhelm Aru. |

Some of these may well have been updated already, even though you won't see them till the end of May update.
Gallopin I'll look at Ewan is a problem not great on longer hills but good on uphill sprint finishes, given the game limitations it's hard to get him really accurate. Izagirre though is a short tour specialist and his high placing at Romandie makes him a great high mtn/low REC combination. Like with Ewan Gaviria is a developing rider so he is liable to still get regular changes, I can tell you that his climbing stats have been going up and down. Pelucchi we discussed recently and his terrible climbing so that is changed. Gerrans is a tricky one, we all know that he is the perfect wheel sucker but his amazing STA and strong hill keeps him in there when on form and I think 79 hill is still great for him, even though he did seem a bit off form at the Ardennes. He's a typical rider that needs longer observation before possibly dropping him Bauhaus has been getting small improvements and is probably already better Kung has had some good upgrades based on TT and other stuff.
Thanks for the pointers.

Ewan was already downgraded in hills to 70 following his no showing at the Giro in non pan flat stages.

Thanks for the pointers. Indeed.Izagirre was good on Morgins and Villars-sur-Ollon. |

Right, Izagirre might actually need 78MO to replicate those results. I was just a bit surprised that his hill stat was so low in comparison, considering he has podiumed Pais Vasco and beat Henao in GP Big Mig. With guys like Rolland at 77HIL, I think Izagirre deserves 77 as well. But one little hill point doesn't merit a huge discussion, obviously
