To be honest though, he has been injured for 10 months and gets picked before players who have played the whole season, i just don't get it Rolling Eyes

agree hes played like 8mins of football all year and gets picked WTF.
English managers seem to always pick there favourites even if they havent played or arent in good form.

He's made only 3 appearances for the 1st team but has been playing with the under 21s since early April. You can't rush back from a broken leg.

When fit Wilshere is England's best all round, box to box midfielder. I'd rather have Wilshere at 85% then Delph or Drinkwater in the Squad. He's got 3 weeks still to build up his fitness and at least he'll be very fresh, which is Englands usual problem at the end of a long, hard Premier League season.

England beat Turkey 2-1 in a friendly yesterday. Didn't play great but had a few players missing due to team commitments.

Although we didn't play great Turkey never really threatened and England were in control for most of the game. Kane missed a penalty and had a goal disallowed so could have been much more comprehensive (Although Kane's goal was offside so could have been much worse also Smile )

I think the favorites fail and we have a surprise winner, just as Denmark and Greece won!

PS: Stop talking about England, they fail always!!!

I think the winner will be France or Germany Smile

Then again I though Landa or Nibali would win the Giro and that went very wrong Smile

As always, I'll be cheering for Germany. But since they just won the WC, I'll be rooting for Italy this time round Smile

Can I ask why you always root for Germany?

Sweden aka Zlatan will take the title this year.
The final will be Iceland 0-2 Sweden

Go for the bet

Maybe that would be the result if you simulated it on PCM Smile

My first experience with international football was the World Championships in 2006, I think that was in Germany.
I was immediately a big fan of Germany, with Olivier Kahn, Klose and Ballack.
In the semi-finals, they lost against Italy in the 118th minute, which was a dramatic finish. Since then I've always cheered for Germany. Though it's sad Kahn, Ballack and now Klose have all disappeared Smile

However, now there's Neuer, world's best goalie! Schurrle is pretty cool. Lahm is a legend. Ozil is quite efficient. etc etc

So go Germany! Pfft

Man Utd not so much. I like their tradition but more of a fan of Everton in England. Especially since Mourinho is going to Utd I don't like it at all Pfft
Sort of dislike Barcelona. Don't like Messi at all. In Spain I prefer Athletico Madrid, actually.
Bayern Munich I do like! Since that's basically the German squad Grin

Cannavaro! Cannavaro! Cannavaro! Totti! Gilardino! Gilardino! Gilardino! Del Piero! GOOOOAAAAL

Good times Cool

Conte's prelimanary squadra is out. Seems like they'll be playing 3-5-2 full time. Defense is world class with Buffon, Chiellini, Bonucci and Barzagli. Rest of the team is a problem though with both Marchisio and Veratti out.

The state of the Italian national team is the worst it's ever been. Why aren't they producing quality players anymore?

Squire, you need to guide me through on this one!

EC is super different to WC. Im always hyped for the Worlds, but EC has always seemed a little lacklustre to me.

Always cheered for the South Americans, particular Columbia and Uruguay in the past, and also Brazil obviously. I have no clue of who to support either.

Well, I don't have any clue of anything in this tournament. Where should I place my money?

Spilak23
Well missing Veratti and Marchisio is huge. They are their two world class midfielders so squad would look much better with them. Other midfielders are like De Rossi, Motta (not sure about these two in a tournament where there is quick succesion of games), Sturaro, Montolivo, Bonaventura and Jorginho are good aswel. Defenders are very good aswell and they have v good backs but up front and on the wings it's problematic. Not that surprising considering Di Natale, Cassano, Totti, Toni, Gilardino have all still been leading frontlines in Serie A the last couple years.

Luckily there are young guys coming through like Bernardeschi, Berardi (a bit dissapointed he isn't included in the squad) and SAS reviving his career in Rome.

Netherlands! Pfft

Quite hard one to pick actually. I don't expect much from Germany if the trend France (1998/2000), Italy (2006/2008) and Spain (2010/2012) is anything to go by. I know this is very reliable Grin

Very hard to pick a winner here I guess. Belgium could be a cool outsider, though I don't expect much of them either. I think France or some surprising outsider might be the best bet here.

And keep in mind, this comes from the greatest better (NOT) in history.

Croatia are my outsiders. They remind me a lot of the Czech Republic at the 2004 Euro's. That was the best team in that tournament imo. Easy to make comparisions between their top class midfield led by Nedved and Croatia's current star midfield led by Modric.

Riis123
France is actually, along with Germany, the bookmakers favourite. I think I'll take a punt on Portugal cause Ronaldo. Dno Pfft
Edit: Always liked Croatia as well. 34 seems decent. So does 21 on Portugal
