He looks to be on the way back doesn't he. getting through this Giro in good condition will do him wonders and we could see some big performances from him next year in the mountains

To me the mountain stages these days seem to be quite boring, if there is no Contador, then all favourites are just wheelsucking start-finish. Viva the hills!
here we go again. |

There is a recurring bug with the Giro threads.
There is nothing we can do. Someone has trolled these Giro threads from start. Seems that nothing can stop it. Even admin is human and getting affected. |

This has a definite 2012-Hesjedal feeling to the Giro.
With Hesjedal being replaced by either Kruijswijk, Majka or Chaves.
Nibali and Valverde are going to screw this up |

The only thing is that mountain chrono tomorrow ... I have the feeling Nibbles may zoom up that one.
Today is totally unpredictaable. I feel as if Astan should try the Fuglsang card (long range attack) perhaps? Likewise some other teams perhaps play a long shot GC card, Hesjedal for example...

Demare has pulled out of the race. There is almost no sprinters left
Somehow i doubt that we will have any more sprint finishes before Torino. |

I'm not even sure if a sprinter will manage it in Torino when Keisse proved it's possible to avoid that last year.

Keep dreaming..
More I look GT's then more I am confused and afraid to predict who is gonna go better where.
Kruijswijk (this Giro has taught to write that name) was better before the Giro..Nibali was shit..I can not predict who will be better at final week. |

Yeah you are right, they might not even manage to keep it together on that stage. |

This has 2012 written all over it.
Even if Kruiswijk doesnt win, which is still somewhat unlikely, Nibali and Astana plays the role of Liquigas. Having the best team and pulling, but their captain doesn't have it. Valverde plays the role of Rodriguez, the passive rider that will make sure he doesn't go to early and otherwise lives of off bonuses and burst on the final kilometres.
And then its obviously Kruijswijk who plays the role of Hesjedal. The diesel climber that they didn't manage to gap early on and who is getting better and better and excels at hard and high mountain stages.
Its not far fetched at all. Even if ruben is dreaming, I know he is and I respect him for that and his passion towards his fellow countrymen, its factually not far off at all! |

more than 30 riders has broken away from the pack and should have a gap of a couple of minutes.
Hoping that some of the GC teams are playing some tactical cards out. |
