Holy moly....imagine Degenkolb and Greipel leading out Kittel at the Worlds!!
If they keep that form and regain it in Degenkolb's case it'll be, attention bad pun, German World(s) domination
If Germany takes those 3 they will never win. Too few domestiques to keep the race together for a sprint, and no way in hell would any of them lead-out any of the others with Rainbow on the line!
Need to take heed of Italy 02 and GB 10. One leader and a whole team with one goal to give him Rainbow.
Disagree! If needed Greipel and Degenkolb would in my poinion be amazing in pulling breaks back. More interesting will be if Demare and Bouhanni will arrange with each other

So... Is this a climb for Ulissi? Imo it is a fair bit too long, and not steep enough, but what do you reckon?
And what can a rider like Bob Jungels do?
Its easier than in Montecopiolo in 2014, so yes, it definitely is within his capabilities. I don't really get your argument with the steepness, the more shallow, the better for Ulissi - there is still a risk of him getting dropped on the first or second stretch of 7-8 slopes.
Ulissi is a great climber on short explosive climbs, but not as strong on long and tiresome climbs... Atleast the best results he have had, has been after those kinds of climbs.

But this climb comes in stages. If those stages had been +10% instead of 7-8%, he wouldn't have had any chance most likely, but the rather easy nature makes it possible at least. |

Okay... I'm really unsure of this climb, but clearly it is also interesting how they are riding it. I suspect that Valverde wants to win it, Astana wants to apply pressure and Dumoulin said he expects to keep the jersey, so he and Preidler are probably trying their best to keep their positions aswell...
A bunch of italian climbers must fancy this one.

Don't need much more than T. Martin for that.
Apart from that Degenkolb said something back in 2014 along the line of that out of 10 sprints between him and his then team mate Kittel, Kittel always wins 10. He was Kittels last lead-out man. Don't see any rivalry there.
Greipel is a team player.
But I admit that it'll be very difficult to decide on who to ride for.

Maybe they headbutt it out? |

Yeah and now the entire Lampre team is on the front of the peloton so I'm assuming Ulissi must be feeling good

Dumoulin told his team to back it off and now the gap is growing so unless someone else takes up the chase they won't catch Wellens and Co

Hope Wellens win this, with this kinda riding, neither Ulissi or Valverde deserves to win.
Today needs to be a day for the brave. |

Well the break now has over 7 minutes so someone from that will win this, has to be Wellens or Didier

Why on earth aren't Movistar pulling for Valverde to win??
Could it be that he's not feeling well? |
