Giro d'Italia 2016 - Week 1 (6th - 15th May)
Forever the Best
Kittel nowhere.
Greipel just destroyed them!
Also great sprint by Jungels.
Also Zaka gaining a few seconds along with Valverde is very good.

I realise that my Velogames team is not all that good, but I was kinda surprised by how poor it actually was:

Overall Rank: 14662 of 14466

I am worse than the actual number of participants.

And I thought my team was poor with Mareczko abandoning and scoring 0 points.

If you actually read my posts and is willing to actually try to understand what I write, I think your responses will be much better.

I'll break it down:
1. Kittel is super dominant
2. If he loses a little weight, he might still be the best sprinter since he at the first place is super dominant
3. But now he can potentially win harder stages as well
4. Might result in him winning even more bike races.

Why you keep on saying that I wont read your post..or I get it all wrong.

1. yes he is
2. No..this was my answer. He wont be best/ top sprinter if he is loosing weight to get over mountains before he will loose he's current sprint domination.
3. It is maybe and if. He will be like Sagan ..or Thor..or Boasson Hagen..on pure airplane type sprints he will be 3-4th.
4. Maybe..if. But he will loose stages that would be he's ..as dominant sprinter he is at the moment.

I have both Peraud and Geniez unfortunately and Arndt as my only sprinter - So I shouldn't have made a lot of points so far, but worse than anticipated though.

Holy moly....imagine Degenkolb and Greipel leading out Kittel at the Worlds!!
If they keep that form and regain it in Degenkolb's case it'll be, attention bad pun, German World(s) domination

Anyhow, real superb performance by Bob Jungels so far.

If Germany takes those 3 they will never win. Too few domestiques to keep the race together for a sprint, and no way in hell would any of them lead-out any of the others with Rainbow on the line!
Need to take heed of Italy 02 and GB 10. One leader and a whole team with one goal to give him Rainbow.

Pretty sure Nizzolo was held up by the falling Katusha rider, he looked so good too Sad

Yep, he was. Porsev really fucked it up for multiple guys with that solo crash, but ain't nobody could have beaten that animal today.

Pretty shallow climb tomorrow, Hesjedal will lose time, but it will probably come down to a 10-20 man sprint if the break hasn't taken it. Pozzo to be the aggressor and Valverde winning

Pretty solid predictions all four of those methinks. Valverde must be the overwhelming favourite tomorrow as it's a climb hard enough to drop the punchy sprinters but easy enough that it will come down to a sprint among the favourites (if they don't allow the break to take the stage win, of course).

Just watched the highlights and Greipel just destroyed the field Smile

Tomorrow has Valverde written all over it, unless they let the break win - which i doubt. Only rider i can see challenge him is maybe Ulissi, but honestly, can't really see it.

Cool little statistic about winning in consecutive tours. Where Greipel is doing very well, better than Cavendish and others.

Absolute record holder is, of course... Well. You know. Who else would it be?

Cavendish 16 starts and 44 wins Shock CRAZY!

So... Is this a climb for Ulissi? Imo it is a fair bit too long, and not steep enough, but what do you reckon?

And what can a rider like Bob Jungels do?

It's possible that they will be in the finish, all depends on how hard it's raced as Astana look sharp and might want to test the legs of some of the other GC teams. A break could hang on today with Giant not really having the firepower to pull it back if the gap gets to big, I don't think Dumoulin cares if he loses the pink so someone like Jungles or Ulissi could get away or possibly even Preidler

Could be a day for someone like De Marchi or Pirazzi to go out on the attack

Its easier than in Montecopiolo in 2014, so yes, it definitely is within his capabilities. I don't really get your argument with the steepness, the more shallow, the better for Ulissi - there is still a risk of him getting dropped on the first or second stretch of 7-8 slopes.
