Okay, fair enough. Just understand the context of your comment:

It might help to if they stopped doping
Do you now understand how it can be seen that you're implying that Gijs Verdick is in hospital because he doped? Your comment is the 2nd post after the news about his condition. I completely get that you are referring to the general spectrum of cases, but at least see why it can, at first, be thought that you were referring to this one individual.
And calm down there mate, this isn't a Republican debate. I'm not attempting to put words in anyone's mouth. I have no desire to lie and substantiate my point to "win" an internet debate. I'm not lying about anything that anyone has said*. I was simply reacting to the way I understood your first post. Granted, I misinterpreted your initial post - but do understand why (see above paragraph). Initially it did seem rather ill-timed.
Spoiler *although, perhaps next Riis123 will next say that young riders are groomed at a very young age to lie and deceive - as well as putting words into other people's mouths. Ey Riis?
Edit: Just for the record, I don't deny [DON'T deny? "Gasp!" - Riis ] that there is a definite correlation between doping and the probability of having a cardiac condition.

That's the problem with vague one-liners on complex issues. You're not in control of what you're implying. Sure, you meant this or that, but by playing the pronoun game and not elaborating in any way, you left a whole lot open to interpretation.
And accusing you of anything because of that one line is silly, but it's just as silly to actually get offended and throw back accusations at people who perhaps understood you wrong because you were too lazy to explain what you really meant.

But what you've done there is copy and paste a separate comment and attach it to the comment I made. The comment made by DiCyc is completely unrelated to what I said. Just because it was two post's before mine is irrelevant.
At the end of the day it's all a misunderstanding. I just don't like being accused of what I was being accused of as it's something I would never do. I've been a member of this board for several years and I've never accused any rider of doping and never will until they are proven guilty.
At least the Giro starts today so we will have something else to talk about |

I think its safe to say that the attitude of dismissing any doping accusations grooms at a very young stage of any bike rider
So being a young rider I'm supposed to relate to this? I'm being "groomed" to dismiss all accusations of doping and keep the omertà culture sacred and holy at all times? Because one day I might have to deny my own doping accusations?
Sorry mate, but you know fuck-all about the person or bike rider I am.
You felt the need to get super aggressive and personal on ringo after he pointed out that there might be a correlation, I can only assume |

I get your point but can I perhaps ignorantly ask where?

We could set up an argument thread where the whole point is to disagree with and offend the previous poster. |

Not the News threads. Which are for News and facts (well, that's the theory). It's not like we havn't got a whole Cycling section full of related topics that can be revived.

What I want to be clear is that whichever team I do ride for in 2017, they would have to make winning the Tour de France a top priority. It doesn't matter if it's my team or one that's already created, it has to be a powerful squad that is going all out for the Tour and that factor will be what has the biggest effect on my decision where I sign. They've got to be as keen to win the Tour as I am.
