Croatia with a huge class Shock
That jacobsen dude is a real bust but with pot 7 studs and some pot 6 guys he can be really satisfied despite the costs.

I'm disappointed with the guys I got. No real stud talent. Bozic is a good pickup but the other three disappoint a bit in comparison to what I hoped and don't fit the team well. Definitely the worst class so far!

Leopard has too much money indeed, but Boileau, Alves and Vaclavik are top riders. Italo with some nice signings, Clinck and Polyakov at minimum wage.

I'm happy with my 4 guys, 1 very promising rider (stat/age wise the best guy together with Boileau in my opinion) and mediocre 3 guys at minimum wage (which you need as well). Seeing at how our Vuelta is going, I'm already looking forward to next season Grin
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Croatia14
got my dev-team together now I think, Buchko will be there together with 7 new signings Grin

on some serious thoughts:
- 12 riders from 2015 being better than #4 in 2016 is really harsh
- the strongest guy from the scouting would have been #5 in the 2016 class
- the pot 7 class went down from 10 to 4 (it was called a slight decrese though)
- I spent nearly 2000 on this...if I don´t promote I´m painfully screwed
- don´t put your trust in northern Europeans

With most of Korup eligible for two more seasons of action, and most will probably be renewed, we only went after 2. Knockout beat us to one: so enjoy the spoils! Smile

We also only went after the oldest there. Sure to some it might be nice having some kid Pot7: but when will they be of even decent domestique standard? 3 seasons? 4? 5? 6? No thanks!

Bikex: Thoughts on the scouting system in spoiler: Wink

Spoiler
- Just a thought but I think you added too many u20s? Yes I know these are for dev teams, but you don't really want someone in a dev team for 3+ seasons. Besides if they develop too fast/too young then we could have a big issue. I think most should reach their peak and develop up until around 27/28/29: if earlier then you will have the issue that the best will be the best for too long especially if the early decline age for most stays at 33. We also don't want the best fighting for every white jersey in addition to the yellow jersey: for obvious point scoring reasons.

What would I do? Only add a handful of u20s (less than 20 if any), add 22/23s to the scouting file next time around if there is a shortage.

Shonak
The U20 are pretty useless up to age 21, 22 anyway. Mostly they are just good in their last season and then they have to leave anyway. Tops 2 seasons. I much prefer to have a 19 year old pot7 talent in team, and I think those guys should ideally turn into future greats. That said, they are likely to score so little points, it doesn't really matter anyway. They don't score in that timeframe anyway in U23, maybe a lucky botd.

I do agree though that the battle for white jersey, in particular form Nairo Quintana & Co, should not necessarily be a battle for the yellow jersey. However, I think that solid young riders should also have a level where they can actually contest at times for the win, of course particularly lower ranked races. I think Wellens, Yates, Verona are good examples of solid development that show the guidelines and bikex has done a brilliant job at keeping the DB checked in most instances.

Since the exp and level system works on a logic of marginal utility, I am pretty sure that bikex has planned the end of normal, effective exp development around age 27, at least that's sort of my impresion by now. EXP hardly has benefit for older riders but still some effect for young guns with high stats.

I agree with all that Shonak, Bikex puts plenty of thought into this, so no doubt that 'rough system' is the case. I hope so as I feel it is best for the game.

By the way Bikex did mention that he might be going back to PCM2013. Is this true or are we sticking with PCM15?

Shonak
I certainly hope we stay with PCM15 in general, gameplay is much better imo. The overpowered GTs in Tour and Giro may have given reason to play the GTs in PCM13 as bikex hinted but Vuelta right now demonstrates that botd wins are well the case. Only overpowered leader status is a critical issue.

Also as we're already in the last third of the season I'd also like to start a discussion here on what you would like to see changed/implemented for next season. This also includes a calendar discussion with proposals for new races and for races to be removed.
Last offseason this discussion only started when it was already to late to make major changes, so I think now is the right time to start.
Everything posted here will be considered and noted down. Smile

A few things from me:

- I really like the idea of a triple header in wt eventhough it is a huge pile of shit in planning when you have zero climbers. Still, I'd love some changes in the profiles as the only real difference between the three races is the amount of stage days. Possible I would chose the following types of terrains for the key stages to make it more interesting:
1. Mountain + long TT (possibly also prologue)
2. Mountain completely without TT or with short mountain TT only
3. Hilly + TTT

Such a diversity would propably make it more interesting to follow make planning more interesting and more appealing for a majority of teams.

- Remove all clashing races of World Ports Classic. Just a personal preference here Pfft

- Add a hard selective cobble stage race for the CT. While doing race planning last season for a couple of ct teams I noticed the lack there. Possibly make it the lower category to avoid guys like Kristoff, GWA or Sagan there. The small amount of cobblers might be because there's so few point scoring opportunities without WT leaders attending.

What happened to this or did I just miss the latest (R3?) results?

15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

Okay it's time to vote the world championships route. I have 8 options. All of them are rated flat, some are with cobbles:

1. Doha
https://prntscr.com/aw60k7
2. Richmond
https://prntscr.com/aw60s5
3. Plouay
https://prntscr.com/aw60xd
4. Lissabon
https://prntscr.com/aw612v
5. Luxembourg
https://prntscr.com/aw61a7

2 variants by Leon40
6. Pesaro
https://pcmdaily.com/forum/viewthread....st_1123581
7. Friedrichshafen
https://pcmdaily.com/forum/viewthread....st_1144777

8. Riga
https://prntscr.com/aw625z

The poll: https://freeonlinesurveys.com/p/jztMYu...qid=821479
The route with the most votes will host the World Championships. You are able to vote for up to 3 routes. You'll only have one day to vote, as this really should be done quick.

For this season I have thought about having 2 qualification races before including countries that weren't directly qualified for the WC to have the best possible lineup at the actual race. One of those races would be for European Countries, the other for all others. Still the best ~12 countries in the ranking will qualify directly, together with the top country of each continent. Also this season 26 teams can take part as no control team is needed when riders can be put on auto. Smile

Sweet, I'd like to see Richmond and cast my vote. Any route will do tho, good selection.

regarding the schedule: I like to see Virgina Chrono Tour either removed, downgraded or changed to a mix of hill-heavy TT racing. Even more than the cobble classics this is a really one-sided race that costs WT teams race days for some teams with no change of any benefit, not even lucky chance of a breakaway. I like the idea of a pure TT stage race but it don't think it really works. It'd make more sense to downgrade it really. I'd also like to see an extended CT cobblez calendar but with one less cobbled WT race, possibly Gent-Wevelgem.
