Caught the end and thought I might be watching the "B" Team version of L-B-L - great performances by some riders with limited opportunities. |

Well, sad for Albasini who was strong enough to take the most work, but Poels was smart. And as we can see with Rui Costa it wasn't easy after wheel sucking to pass Albasini in the final.
Edit: Zakarin 5th
Mollema 8th

Stop whining. Best edition since 2013, but maybe you're just bitter because Poels won?
Point..at PCMdaily classics fun race is hugh part about who is winning. |

Stop whining. Best edition since 2013, but maybe you're just bitter because Poels won? It wasn't that much better than the last 2 editions.Maybe even worse.Dunno

Stop talking bs, last year was a solid edition. This was a horrible race evident by the complete lack of race relevant comments in the thread.

Being better than LBL 2014 isn't exactly an achievement

I'm happy I woke up just before the cobbled climb. No undeserved winners in these circumstances. Face it. |

Example..if Alaphilippe had been at 4 man break and take it. We would have seen 172 dancing bananas..fact! |

Completely agree with Guido, here on Pcm it's seems more importan who wins than how the race is won.

Bs, don't you read the comments during the race? How often do people have to say it's boring until you guys can accept that people think it's boring. Coming up with the same lines does not help at all. Nothing happened until 5k to go. This is a the oldest monument in the calendar and there is no racing happening at all. Deal with it that I am not happy with that lack of entertainment.

If people expected this race to be all attacking and what not then you are stupid. Conditions meant that this race was going to be a war of attrition, never about a team or rider ripping the race to shreds. |

agreed ..also with Shonak.I have seen great 40-50km. attacks at LBL.
still Poels has been on the picture on this year Ardennes..close to the peak. Todays bad weather helped him and Albasini a lot. Deserved as hell! |

What attrition? We got 22 riders within the first 30 seconds.

Why are people sad because Poels won? Because he's a Sky rider? |

Last years edition wasn't any better than this, I'm not saying it was an exciting race at all but I just don't think it was any worse than the last few editions

this post should be at Amstel thread..there I did not understand how 30 riders (many from same team) just watched each other when 2 riders ride away. |

Just because that many were grouped together doesn't mean the weather didn't take it's toll, barely anybody had anything left when they hit that final climb and that's because of the weather

Well now that we've done away with the Ardennes it's time to cheer myself up by thinking about the Giro. Speaking of which, now's probably a good time to go away and write a preview and remind myself what good races look like
