You need to move on!!! If Martin was strong enough he would of finished in front of Alaphillipe in Fleche

I'm not sure if I agree with this, I think that the Etixx tactics at FW were perfect. The idea was that Martin would go long which he did and he certainly went better than Purito did. Alaphillipe was there to follow the strongest wheel which was Valverde and if Martin was caught which he was, it was then down to Alaphillipe to launch another attack nearer the line. In the end he had to follow Valverde which he wasn't able to do. The Etixx tactics were good, the problem was Valverde was better.

As for the race tomorrow hard to see outside Movistar or Etixx for a winner and if riders like Nibali and Bardet want to win they need to go long and need to take some other strong riders with them.

I think this final climb is a plus tomorrow as there will be even more chances to break up such a large group arriving together near the finish. But as they say the proof will be in the pudding tomorrow.

Someone needs to do an avatar bet with this pic.

Ian just pm'ed me that I'd be a good idea to change my avatar so I'm open for any idea

If Tim Wellens wins, I'll change my avatar to Tim Wellens. Am I doing this avatar betting thing right?
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

If Tim wins WE all change our avatar. Hypetrain!

I was in the same situation when I adopted the Kraftwerk TdF logo as an avatar only to discover lakebeach had the same avatar and joined earlier than me. As the later joiner I was considering a change when I noticed the rather smart Swedish colour change and I would like to say thanks to lakebeach for this.

As for ideas these might give some inspiration - favourite rider/team, local flag/image, cartoon characters, sports/movie/tv/music stars, bicycle or cycling equipment. I can't recall if anyone has used Didi 'the devil' Senft as an avatar, suitably iconic Smile

Back on topic I fear avatar discussions might be more interesting than LBL where a repeat Valverde, Alaphilipe, Martin 123 looks quite likely.

You need to:
1. Stop caring so much about someone else's opinions
2. Not take forum comments so seriously
3. Stop arguing with me for no fricking reason when arguments are not occurring

So now we've cleared up what we need to do. Sure I'll move on.

Has there actually been a decent Ardennes in the last decade or so?
Really?

It's a great avatar, especially if you are a fan of Kraftwerk and their Tour de France song! Pfft

I always believed you adapted the avatar first. It is more relevant to look at the date when the avatar was adapted rather than the date of registration. I joined this site in late 2012 but I don't think I changed to the red and blue Kraftwerk TdF logo until late 2014. I'm not sure but I think you adapted your current avatar before that.

The thing is that we've tended to spend time on very different parts of the forum. Looking at your posts, it appears that you have been active in the story and Man-game sections, two parts of the forum I don't visit too often. Hence I've never really spotted your avatar. However, I made the decision to flip the logo and change to the Swedish colours sometime in 2015. Partly because I thought our avatars looked too similar (and I felt like I had stolen yours), partly because I just wanted some change. Smile

Given the weather condition for the race, can we change the thread name to 'niege-bastogne-niege'?
