Well I've officially ruled myself out of contention for the Spring Classics
With one race to go it looks as though the title will go to Smowz. Ian Russell is the only person with a semi realistic chance of catching him however that would take a complete collapse by Smowz and Ian naming the top 5 finishers
Hopefully I'll have the league table updated by early next week. |

I am satisfied with top 10 in the league at this moment. Don't think I can get much more, maybe 6th or 7th, I'm now 8th. It's good enough I guess. Has been pretty hard to predict. |

Anyone know if Romandie will have a Velogame? Few weeks ago on twitter I saw that probably will be, but with not many days remaining I wonder we will go straight into Giro. |

Haven't spotted anything but sometimes he does throw up games at the last minute so it's possible but I think the next game will be the Giro

Just joined the league. With only 9 riders, it is obvious that you can have a lot more stars on your team than in the spring classics, considering that you still have 100 credits to spend and the riders cost about the same. |

Riders too cheap for this one. Dumoulin for 10 is a f*king crime, absolute bargain

17th in the Spring Classics league, steady with no standout races.
Hope for better luck in Romandie (like no last minute withdrawals).

Could be my second classics triumph on pcm daily - very happy after a lean year so far on Velogames.
I made a lot of transfers early - but quite a lot paid off. I had Hayman in from the start, initially not realising he was injured - but I did think if he was at PR he would at the very least go in the break and ....
It is funny because in my previous velogames you had a surprise (Vansummeren) winner then.
I always find it harder with stage races to get the blend of team right. Romandie it is a judgement call on how many destructive stages we will actually have.

You can't reassess with stage races either with the lack of transfers, so if you get a bit of bad luck or misjudge things initially that's it. Mind you after all the transfer complications in the classics it's both a blessing and a curse
Lots of ground for me to make up in L-B-L and unless Gerrans and Gasparatto perform in a big way and Kwiatkowski doesn't I can't really see it happening, plus I can always be overtaken too! |

Pfff Romandie is very hard this year. I have no clue wich of the GC riders are going for it and wich are just there for training. Also no real sprinters... |

No real sprint stages either though (if you don't count the last one), which makes sense.

What about stage 1 and 5? Seem to be like sprinter stages. |

Stage 1 looks too tough for a sprinter like Kittel to survive. I in fact am pretty sure some attacker will take it. Stage 5 is the "if you don't count the last one" stage, so yeah, definitely not a pancake flat stage but still one for Kittel if he's got the legs.

Eek! Hoping I just hold on to a podium place after Liege, might be a bit tight. Congrats to Smowz!
Spring Classics was a fun competition as ever and some wonderful racing at Flanders, Roubaix and even up Brabantse Pijl... |
