What?
it wsa effectively 4 years because of the Italians slapping a two year ban on him racing on Italian soil, which in those years the Tour de France had a few stages in Italy so all he really had was the Spanish races. And he was made an example off because he never actually failed a drugs test.
Well maybe if his blood wasn't in Fuentes fridge he wouldn't of served any ban, can't really blame anyone but himself
Many riders bloods were found there and some didnt get a ban, gonna ban someone for it got to make it consistent and ban them all.

I didn't expect anything spectacular, just concluded what happened.
I don't get these complaints. I'm glad we have that one race like this. Just the purest measure of power with no big tactics. |

Can't you guys see it now? What good is Etixx's "team support" if you're playing second fiddle to Alaphillipe and doing leadouts for him?
Wasn`t really leadout.
Basically the same attack he would have done with Garmin I`d say. He then was just 3rd strongest only in the end.
Well he couldn't have been that stupid to go that long on for the third time in 2 years knowing he would crack before the line, right? And Alaphillipe was right behind.

It's called being a teammate
Yes it is. And why would you, as one of the best punchers in the world, go to the one of the one or two teams where you would have to be a teammate in your season goals? That's what I've never got.

You know he appealed to every court in the land...all of which threw it out right?

This race gets more boring each year, Valverde can win this race 4 more times if he wants.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

True I guess.
I reckon I just find everything boring after the amazing cobbled classics this year. Maybe I should go to sleep and wake up in late February just ahead of Omloop. |

The effective 4 years out seems to have done him good anyway 35 and still winning races, I think he has another 5 years left in him at the top level.

What is with Purito? Seems to that age has just caught him up. Or poor early season? |

Many riders bloods were found there and some didnt get a ban, gonna ban someone for it got to make it consistent and ban them all.
But other riders did serve bans thanks to Puerto and the one's who didn't get a ban isn't good enough but really you shouldn't be saying that Valverde was punished to harshly, you should be annoyed the others weren't punished enough. Valverde got what he deserved

Barguil in 9th was another good sign he is on the way back and might help Giant find some glory in what was such a horrible start to the year for them
