That's why 4-5 kph extra is so hard to believe, especially when you are in saddle. By the way he pedals it's also strange bc he's just more cruising around. Watched it ten times by now, it's hard to believe it's legit.

Well no real quality sprinters there, so the way he won may be possible however it looks strange. Hard not to think of moto.
Well, he came from quite far behind with at least 4-5 km/h extra.
Mclaay isn't really a quality sprinter himself
Maybe not a quality sprinter but has a bright future ahead of him and showed sparks of what's to come already before. Plus if you ask me the only real sprinter who's better than him on paper is Dehaes who isn't performing seriously for 2 years or so, so there it is. Boudat himself is mostly a track rider.
Then again I totally agree that sprint was far from normal...

We got no proof on any motors being involved, but honestly, I just can't see how he can go this fast with the few pedal strokes he is making while sitting down.
Also notice how he isn't losing momentum while zig zagging from side to side, he just keeps the same tempo, and only right before the line, he stands up.

It's hard to rank low tier sprinters up against each other, but imo for sure these riders are just as good as Mclay, which makes his insane "sitting sprint" even more weird
Colbrelli, Ruffoni, Manzin, Boudat, Raymond Kreder.
It's just, even when Cavendish was his best, and he trashed the other sprinters, it didn't look like this.
I can only say, that i hope they check his bike, just to be sure.
It's a pity we don't get a long shot to see how he got into that position or the momentum he was carrying but yeah it did look odd from the available footage

The long shot might have show the exhaust fumes coming out the back of his bike when he turned the engine on
