Rejoice, Contador won't leave cycling just yet .. He has put retirement plans on hold after winning Pais Vasco.
https://velonews.c...now_402049
Great news for Contador fans and race organizations alike, keeping GC racing exciting. Bad news for anybody who likes dull sky train choo-choo tho
Most have doubt his decision to leave at that age anyway, so ye who said so can clap on your shoulders and move on. A year with Cance and Contador retiring would have been earthquake, glad it doesn't come to this.
IMO Contador should do Giro 100th edition regardless of the Tour outcome.

Contadope is lying all time.
Nice if he continues after he lost big in TDF this year (again, again, again), when he so also lose huge nearly years, If he is not a chicken and running Giro instead. |

Why ? Are you trying to be funny?
We are going to see it anyway and Contadope loses so many minutes (again, again, again)

I do wonder why Arberg changed his profile picture to Froome, the troll profile pic was much more suitable

We could make an avatar bet. If Froome wins I change my avatar to him until end of year, if Contador wins you leave pcmdaily and never login ever again

It should be just long time. Both end of year or forever.

Most have doubt his decision to leave at that age anyway, so ye who said so can clap on your shoulders and move on. A year with Cance and Contador retiring would have been earthquake, glad it doesn't come to this.
IMO Contador should do Giro 100th edition regardless of the Tour outcome.
Good to hear, even though next year he'll probably be a little past his best (still a bloody great rider though even when not at his peak) races will benefit hugely from his presence. Would absolutely love to see him at 100th Giro, would be great if we could get Nibali + Quintana + Contador (and + Froome would be nice to see but I don't think it will happen) and a really strong field to do justice to what I'm sure will be amazing and historic race. Already just thinking of the insane parcours they might dish out for that race - this is the Giro, not that half-arsed attempt at a special 100th edition parcours the Tour gave us.

Its great news for any cycling-fan, even Arberg. I think he finds a lot of joy constructing thoughtful names as 2ontadope and such, really clever boy.
But who are surprised? Contador has been known to twist the truth and lie at times, this dude can't just stop riding his bike at the highest level. I think the Spring confirmed he is still one of the best GC-riders out there. |

I hope he continues to "lie" (=rethink his plans) and he stays on board until 2018 World Championships. Then I can cheer him to the rainbow jersey in my hometown.

That would be too much, almost. Think about a year when they all decided to race the Giro and Contador suddenly got 'ill' and instead beat Van Gardenen in the Tour with 6 minutes, winning his 5th Tour after he won this year. |

I forgot to inform you sad that scenario is completely unrealistic. Not because Contador haven't got 'ill' before, neither because Froome is a pussy and won't be remembered of his Giro tragedy OR because Quintana doesnt like the Giro. All that could very well happen.
Its unrealistic because Quintana will beat the fck out of Contador in July.

I rather have a bet tho that's a bit more entertaining than just who wins le Tour.
