Notice how he's very careful not to implicate the whole teams in case of lawsuits.
Telling, I'd say.
Disclaimer- Most of my posts are me thinking aloud. And most of what I think is rubbish.

For cyclists i'd expect it to be those at a lower level than WT or Olympics, so who gives a f*ck about them

Except the headlines say clearly "British Tour de France cyclists"

Everything i've been reading just says "British cyclists", anything that has said Tour de France has been purely speculating without supporting evidence. It's an assumption that it's TDF, i.e. Sky riders, and my personal belief is that Sky's programe is separated from this.

On the comments about how it was, apparently it was a runner so nothing to do with cycling.

You are correct that a runner was involved in the sting that caught out Bonar offering doping products but the Whistleblower was a different person altogether, that person is believed to be British cyclist Dan Stevens https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/...ort-stars/

Paris-Roubaix may be too muddy, possible route changes.

Cruel ASO. We are waiting for years for some mud on the pavé and when it may be here, they say no.

Article speaks of "some of the 27 cobbled sectors", maybe tomorrow they are thinking about cutting Arenberg too.

still 50km of cobbles Smile

If they are talking of cutting sections it must be daaaaamn muddy. Extreme Weather protocol muddy. Modern cycling, it really should just be all time trials on stationary bikes in an air conditioned room.

what Gouvenou said is what matters:

“The route is wet and muddy. We had some surprises, especially on the first [cobbled] sector in Troisvilles due to a large covering of mud,” said race director Thierry Gouvenou after Monday’s reconnaissance of the route with journalists.

“We’ll wait a few days before taking a definitive decision. If we had to race today [Monday] we’d have to avoid that section. But there is still time, and experience shows that you have to be patient.”

I'm gonna rent a big truck, fill it up with mud, wait until the race has started and pour it over the remaining cobbled sections Grin
We will have mud on the pavé!

While I'm at it, it might be nice to rent a few airplanes, fill them up with water and make it rain. I've been waiting for a wet Paris-Roubaix for a long time, now!

HEARD!!!

I really do hate this protocol, I don't care about being political correct. We are all in for a treat in Il Giro when 5 stages will be cancelled, can't wait.

Googled "Paris - Roubaix" and this was one of the first images

It`s basically only the first section.
Also it`s not about mud or no mud but about road or no road.

I guess just by the look of those roads I think there will still be high chance of muddy paves elsewhere as well in the end. In especially when there are some rainy hours until then.

No offence to the frenchies, but if this would happen on the Haaghoek or something, you'd see a few dozen volunteers with shovels appearing tomorrow Pfft
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Jonas Mikkelsen, the man behind an annual post-Tour criterium in Denmark, got a one year suspension from all sport today due to matchfixing.

As we all know, post-Tour crits have mostly pre-determined outcomes, but if your national cycling federation is somehow vaguely involved, you can't directly ask someone to let Contador win.
