Only guys who can stop Cance in most situations is GVA and Sagan. Surely this is Spartcus time to stop playing nice with his toys (at least on this course) and go all Sid from toy story on them. Maybe I'm stuck in a world a few years ago.
Ettix, don't know about Niki Terp and Styby. They could win on form and if they played it right but not sure if they're gonna bring either. Not forgetting Gavira who in 9 Rondes from 10 or maybe less often wouldn't make it to the front at the end but showed recently he's got some surprising heart and stamina in long races.
Guys like Kristoff will always be second tier here for me unless they change a lot, ditto Kwiatek who may even be third tier, and btw should be 3rd choice despite talent and E3 amazingness probably for Sky. Stannard could have his big win, ditto G. Rowe is good but not on a level to compete in the win in most Rondes we'd see. Benoot, expecting a result like last year but he's less of a surprise package. Has been quietish but still think he's got more to show.
There's a whole host of guys like Demare (the Dirty) who could do something but i wouldn't consider winning. Trentin a useful card to play with Etixx but not sure what load of shyte tactic they're angling to go for. Haussler, a guy (who I'd like to see do well) amongst others who I can't honestly see doing much unless it's that one weird Ronde. Roelandts, my true hope ftw. Stuyven for me is in the Demare group, though I'd love to see him do well. Chavanel, Pozzato, could pull something to be in a final selection of 5-6.
Sep gets his own paragraph. I just don't know what to expect, he's like England in that world cup hopes diagram . Actually, I might make one of them with big riders if I'm bored.

Interesting that no one mananged to win all races throughout their career. And specialist like Cancellara, Van Petegem, De Vlaeminck, Tchmil all beaten by Merckx!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Yet, plenty of people still rate Cancellara more than Boonen. Smh.

He's not racing Ronde.

And even if he did, I hardly doubt he would finish it, let alone fight for a victory.. |

I am hoping for some more interesting tactics then lets wait for Cancellara to destroy everyone and try to hang on.
Sky, Astana, Etixx, Lotto, BMC all have a couple of decent shouts so they should be able to try something interesting I would have thought.
Personally I have this feeling Stannard will do it...

I have a feeling Cancellara will put up a good fight but I just don't think he will win it. Sagan really has looked strong and seems to be getting better, Vanmarcke looks to be getting it right this season and think the tougher the race the better he will be, if I hadm to pick a Sky rider it would be Stannard but I don't think any Sky rider will win, Etixx have been poor so far but Stybar could be in with a shot, GVA and Benoot also look to be in it.
So basically a whole heap could win
Hells 500 Crew and 6 x Everester
Don Rd Launching Place
Melbourne Hill Rd Warrandyte
Colby Drive Belgrave South
William Rd The Patch
David Hill Rd Monbulk
Lakeside Drive Emerald

Hoping: Boonen, just to shut up the critics
Expecting: Cancellara
Fearing: Demare, with the good weather it'll be hard to drop him

Well, Boonen won't be dropped on the Muur tomorrow, I can guarantee you that!
But he'll need something special to win, he won't be able to just wait and see.

A duel between Boonen and Cancellara like in 2010 would be great, unfortunately that's highly unlikely.
I really hope Spartacus can take his fourth win in his final season. Gosh I'm so excited for tomorrow! |

But he'll need something special to win, he won't be able to just wait and see. Well, hoping for Canc and Tommeke to go on Koppenberg along with Sagan. Then the duo to drop Sagan somewhere and have an epic battle on Oude Kwaremont and Paterberg.
PS:Is Muur back next year? |

Probably not, 2011 was the last race to feature it. We stay around Patersberg and Oude Kwaremont nowadays, as the VIP villages are located there. A lot of fans are against the local laps in a Monument, but the money decided it. The Muur is too far away from Oudenaerde, and placing it early in the race would be stupid as well.
