In PCM 15 it was pretty easy to copy young rider names from one DB to another, as it was simply a text document.
For PCM16 they have gone back to having it as a part of the CDB file, which makes it a pain...
Question: is there an easy way to move young rider names from one DB to another, without having to reenter all the data? |

It's not a pain with the correct tools. Use excel editor and extract local.cdb in there, and you can edit stuff in excel like exactly you would do with last year's xmls. You can find it in the pcm 12 download section.

Yes, but how to get it back into the DB? I have tried editing in Excel, but my DB always crashed when I tried to use the one with new data |

That seems weird. Confirm that you extract the cdb, open sta_regen_lastnane/first name, do the work you need to do with NO empty cells/rows/columns and get back to the initial screen and build cdb with no crashes in before?

I have done that, yes. I can do everything, but when I use the DB in game, it will crash at loading young cyclists (or whatever it is called) |

Are you using it in pair with the Expansion Pack or any other db? What lcoal.cdb have you edited in that case?

I have edited into the expansion pack, and then tried to copy to other DB's - just to see if it worked, but it didn't. I'll give it another try this weekend, and see if I can find the error. |

The expansion pack's local may not work with other dbs because of the additions we made. If you want to use your local with multiple dbs, you'd better off be using the official local as a base.

I am not using it with other DB's. I edit in EP v. 1.0, sopy the data to EP v. 1.1, and it crashes |

Oh so if I understand correctly you edited new names on the 1.0 local and want to put your edits in the 1.1 one? In that case, if it still crashes you can copy the loc table of the 1.1 one on yours only and it will work fine

I have been tinkering with it, and I still can't get it to work. Can anyone please give it a shot? It sounds simple enough, but I can't figure out why it will not work.
I have attached the local.cdb (called final.cdb) from which I would like the regenfirstname/lastname files copied onto the latest Daily DB local.

The reason why it was crashing is probably because you don't have Bosnian riders names in your db, which is required to run the Expansion Pack. This should do I guess? https://www.dropbox.com/s/zgkr7pvkz9d...r.cdb?dl=0
