Lampaert out for the rest of the classic season, after someone hit his heel with a shopping cart in a supermarket. That's one of the most stupid injuries I've ever seen.
Was it in Lidl as well? |

As first step the Driedaagse de Panne limit the amount of motobikes to 25.
Most of those are important for the safety of the riders actually that are supposed to warn the peloton before dangerous spots.
Only 5-6 motobikes are for photographs.
I remember watching GW and at one point thought, wtf is going on there from heli cam. Like 15 motobikes and one pacing through all the traffic not at all worried about road isles. The peloton luckily was 20-30m behind, but also those motobikes were close to crash there due to this one idiot. Also the pictures Mick Rogers has made is awful in many ways. A group of 4 riders but 10 motobikes around them. Definitely the wrong ratio! |

Mad race once again in Driedaagse right now. Peloton split in 4 echelons right after the start. Right now there is a leading peloton about a minute ahead of the rest of the pack as they enter the hilly zone.

Kristoff, Rowe, Keukeleire, Westra, Lutsenko, Phinney, Durdridge and Bodnar are part of a 16 men break. 1'10 ahead of the peloton where Etixx have to chase. Lots of intresting names.
Mads Pedersen there aswel. Looking forward what he can do. He won GW U23 Sunday.

Ugh, is that Mads Pedersen in the break as well? He won U23 G-W, he seems to be quite the talent at 20 y/o. |

By the way, this race is going for WT next year (as is Brabantse Pijl), would be nice to have a short stage race with the best cobble riders. Action is definitely good so far

Hope the request is denied.
Interesting enough as it is (between all these WT races).
This becoming WT would mean WT teams need their precious points and stop sending their younger riders etc here. Would be a shame.
Also would mean we'd have Euskaltel here. Well, not Euskaltel but you know what I mean |

That's a fair point, although we really need a cobbled WT stage race. Eneco Tour 2 years ago came close, but it's just one stage. How about we make De Panne world tour and and make Driedaagse West-Vlaanderen .HC to compensate the loss?
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Yeah, but I still don't think this is the best placing for it if it was World Tour.
A cobbled (real cobbled, not Eneco) tour sounds great, but I'm afraid there's not really room in the calendar for it. At least not in this period of the year. |
