Thanks Lachi. That sounds like a good idea. Lets hope that she doesn't ignore me and that I don't start to stumble senseless stuff...well, I guess I should prepare myself.

So you guys remember chocolate bunny girl?
Well, today I finally grew a pair and decided to ask her to prom. I got a small bouquet of flowers and stuck it int he bell of her french horn before a band rehearsal and then when she found it I asked her.
Aaaaaaaaaaand I got totally rejected. She gave me the "already going with friends" excuse and told me "maybe we could dance once we're there." Meanwhile I'm thinking bitch please. Clearly she was just trying to let me down easy. So I told her to keep the flowers and walked away, and we didn't talk or even make eye contact the whole two hour rehearsal (we normally would).
So yeah. My friends say they're proud of me but honestly I regret it. I didn't get the date, was really embarrassed, and now I'm not only going to never talk to her again, but a lot of her friends were outer circle friends of mine, so now it's going to be awkward around them. Oh yeah, and I'm out 16 bucks!
But the joke's on her, because remember, she's as much of a nerd as me. I truly doubt she's getting another date in the near future to anything. So screw her, I've done my play and now I just have to move on.
Just thought I'd update after the whole chocolate bunny thing.Turns out the results from that were not a fluke. And if she didn't realize it was romantic then, she's certainly looking back on it now.
And then, my mom says that as she got in her dad's car with my flowers, she was smiling. What the hell! She gets to enjoy my flowers and I have nothing to show for it. It would be a bummer of a day if my best friend hadn't also asked the girl he liked and she accepted (I played a role in making this happen). So I just have to be happy for my friend and put my own troubles aside for now I guess. Maybe I'm just better a wing-man than a real man...

Now I'll never talk to her again. As far as my future prospects with girls, there really aren't any decent ones at my school that aren't either taken or her friends, so I'm staying single for now, and probably a very long time.

Disagree with waiting, life is too short to wait, go out text as many girls as you can, it's not about getting into someone pants all the time, it's making friends, some for life, even in unlikeliest relationships. And while in school that may be hard I guess depending on circumstances, but there are many other ways to find such friendships. And I know, many people prefer more solitary circle of friends, but I don't agree with that, everyone needs shitton of friends to get through the hard moments of life, not just guys, but females as well. But most importantly I don't think BBL is like that as well, even though he didn't have much opportunities with other girls bar her.
As for the rejection you got, I call it a success. There is no such thing as rejection. You took the matter in your own hands, you had the courage to do it and ask her. Bam, that's the important thing, her response doesn't matter as much as the action you took. This was possibly first time (not sure) asking a girl out, and you didn't get the answer you wanted, but that's fine, you can't control her state of mind during that day, her emotions, another day and maybe she would said yes, doesn't matter though.
If you rarely approach girls and hardly talk to them, then each approach is going to feel like a big deal. And this will make rejection hurt that much more. Don't dwell on it. It's a success, you took that step and asked her, don't let it discourage you, in my eyes from the stories you wrote earlier that is great step for you.
I wholeheartedly disagree with your ''But the joke's on her, because remember, she's as much of a nerd as me.'' stance however . Just because she is a ''nerd'' doesn't determine who she likes and has to take to the prom necessarily, plus secondly she is shy and in the moment could have told you something that she didn't mean at all. We won't know, but we can assume as hard as it was for you to ask her out, it more than likely was equally difficult for her in a spur of moment just to say straight to your face, yes or no. ( and her smiling as your parents told you kinda makes me believe this is the case, there's something more than just a simple rejection, it's not over yet I feel and hope  )

You guys are lucky I don't care as much as some others members would I suppose. I honestly don't take too much offense to it I guess. I know I'm pretty pathetic.

You just have a bitter attitude. You really liked her and then you got rejected so suddenly she is a piece of crap that you don't like.. What if she came up to you soon and said she acted out and wants another chance to go with you? Would you turn it down?
