OK, I've done some changes but it's taking time.
Could you please try this file: Replace Local files with these ones (in your database folder).
https://hotfile.com/dl/211802928/d280...T.zip.html
Now when you go in option menu, you should have 'English (TEST)' language. Select it and restart game (for language change) and you should have english texts with some czech texts remaining.
Report me if this is working for you so I would finish the work and give you dutch too.
Cheers,
have been playing around with it again and got the English (TEST) now, not sure if you want to continue working on a full English version but if you're willing I would very much appriciate it |

OK. So the fix may work. Please try with the language fix on post #1 of this topic. |

@sylvao:
Does Pro Cycling Manager 2006 have an Application Data folder on Windows 8? If so, where can I find it?
I'm asking this because after I put on the RNDB 2000 and wasn't happy about it, I put another database over it. Not smart from my part. And after installing the second database, Pro Cycling Manager always gives me a PCM.exe - error when I push on the 'Singleplayer'-button in the main menu.
Does anyone know a solution to this problem? |

No, PCM 2006 does not have an application data folder. All the files are stored in the game directory.
PCM.exe error can occurs when database has errors or is incorrect (if you deleted database without having changed its selection under game option before, it will crash) but you can edit the option file or just delete it so that default option file will be used with official database use.
PCM.exe error can also occurs when you have errors with .xml files (stages).

I've got a problem with PCM 06 on my computer ( which uses Windows 8.1 )
If I want to change something in the menu ( the language fo example ), this change won't work ( when I'm doing it and my first game after that change ).
In fact, I can only play with a game in english and not in french ( which is strange because I don't have this problem on an other computer with Windows XP ).
I hope someone will be able to help me
Thanks !
EDIT : I put the files of the StanosRetroBase ( 2013 DB for PCM 06 ) and now, the game is in dutch and there is the english commentary. But, I still can't change anything ...
Also, I found that I can't save my career mode ( if I'm playing from a day to another day, if I quit and then I come back, it's like I've never played )

hey people. i'm trying to play PCM 2005 and at some stages i got the white/black screen. i tried to replace the stages for those 2006 ones but it doesnt fix totally my problem and it adds some other problems, so it's not an option. any suggestion? either in windows 7 or windows xp professional service pack 3, the problem remains.

Not sure that game will work with windows 7 as PCM 2006 came out 3 years before that OS
What do you mean that you "tried to replace the stages for those 2006 ones"?
EDIT: Posting it in multiple threads won't help you.

i download the nowater_fix_stages for pcm 2006 (it was available in the other thread i posted), so i copied them and paste on the pcm 2005 stages folder. it fixed few stages that were broken but as the 2006 stages are not all equal to the 2005 ones, i had some problems like 30km stages (a time trial stage at 2006) turned into a 30km road race stage. i also installed windows xp professional service pack 3 in a virtual machine, i tried to run the game in windows 7 in compatibility mode and i couldnt fix the white/black screen problem =/ |

Oh boy, I got your message on cyanide forum too
I wouldn't recommend you to use PCM2006 stage files for PCM2005 since many races are different. However try to perform the fix:
Edit your race file (.xml),
Replace all sea="1" by sea="0" (if any),
Remove rivers data between <rivers> and <rivers /> tags (if any).
Run the game et voilĂ ! |

No, I mean all the .XML files you have in the stages folder not the configuration file. I think it is "CM_Stages" folder. I don't want to install PCM2005 again for that. I am quite sure you will find this folder
EDIT: this folder includes files like "top_france_grandtour_stage_01.xml"...
Best tool for me is to use Notepad++ and make the modifications I pointed out before.

I tried to download the starforce fix. I copied the files but when i try to enter the game i get this message: The program cannot be startet because mac3r.dll is missing on the computer. Try to install the program again to solve this problem.
Someone who knows how to fix it? |

michaelhamselv, I suppose this dll file is linked to DirectX9 or a Microsoft Visual C++ Redistribuable file. Try to perform a clean install of the game before applying the starforce fix. |

Hi SSJ2Luigi,
I just keeped the download links at first post and removed the other links since they are useless and the fix at first post was working fine.
Last time, it worked finally for you there (https://pcmdaily.com/forum/viewthread....ost_782457 and since I did not make any change to the fix, this should work as well.
Maybe try follow procedure like you did last time when it worked. |

Shot in the dark: I'm trying to use the save game editor, but for some reason I can't find my saves. There is no PCM folder in the my documents folder. My saved games works fine, and I can load every one of them. But where are the files themselves? |

Thanks for the quick reply. It's not there either. My folders go:
database>solo>database>empty folder.
When I first open up the folder database (where I can select between multi and solo) there are som CDB-files laying underneath in the same folder.
Database (data base file)
DatebaseTemp.cdb (CDB file)
Local.cdb (CDB file)
OfficialRelease.cdb (CDB file)
OriginalLocal.cdb (CDB file)
Tutorial.cdb (CDB file)
I have tried opening all these in Jape's save game editor, but I just get an error. Any suggestions? Any idea where my save files are? |
