Thoughts of Goss being a leader has been gone for several seasons now so I don't know why anyone would of thought he could do something in Langkawi

Well, he kept taking steps back - WT leader - WT rider - PCT leader - PCT rider - I figured at some point he would be low enough to start getting results again.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

I did not really expect it. But with a move down to One Pro Cycling I thought, he might at least try it one last time. Though he is just riding within the peloton avoiding all kind of other action. |

Once again a finish line cam for the Tour La Provence. The peloton is on the final 4x6,3km circuit. Finish looks not that easy with a 90° corner 150m ahead of the line and a speed bump just behind !

Ettix with a nice 1-2. Right behind them though the "expected" crash on such finish. A FDJ rider (Manzin or Reza?) crashed and blocked most of the others.
Ettix though already had a couple of meters in between before and would have made the 1-2 most likely anyway.

How could the organizers be so dumb and set a finish like that?
Anyway Martinelli created the gap even before the crash behind him, very nice from Gaviria to let him the stage victory, |

Yeah this was quite predictable. When creating the race I already had some troubles because of all those corners. Seems like they wanted to finish in front of the town hall no matter what. Tomorrow it's a bit better, but it's still quite risky (town hall of Marseille, approach from the west, so Quai de la Tourette-Avenue Saint-Jean-Rue Caisserie)

Gaviria giving away victories certainly doesn't exactly help mine tho.

But Gaviria is going to score so much better than Martinelli by the end of the season. So, at least let me have this one

Really high speed finish on todays stage. The sprinters gained 6s on the next group and another 5 on the big part of the peloton.
Palini beats Guardini in a great h2h sprint on the line. No chance for the others.
Ruffoni and Page unfortunately crashed in the final meters but finished the stage.
Brenton Jones as only sprinter wasn`t there today as he punctured with 5km to go, which is a pity seeing his good form.
Dall'Antonia and one of the Skydive riders got disqualified for some reason.
Edit: PCS seems to be down at the moment. |

He doesn't work hard enough and enjoys to many nights out drinking (plus some other things ) and he's happy enough earning a paycheck these days, this is all what I hear from people who know enough but of course it could all be trash talk. Nice guy with a big enough engine but he just doesn't have the drive to be a full time pro and the main reason he got a ride at One was thanks to Baden Cooke
