Yeah, but that's only at the elite level, which would be very hard to get into.

In terms of free time, you actually get A LOT more as a footballer. Sure, if you have a game on a certain day then it'd probably take your whole day, but you' get 2 days off every week, and only 4-5 hours of work every day as opposed to the 8 hours of a 9-5 job.
EDIT: Anyway, this is me at the Sydney vs Wellington game. And yes, I know the push-ups are terrible, but they're a little bit harder with a ball in your foot

Well so I have 1 month left to Vasaloppet, my first real sport event honestly.
And for you who dont know what that is, it´s a Cross country race in Sweden which is 90 kms long.
And I have been a bit sloppy with the training so wish me good luck
So like many others that have time goals for that race my only goal is to finish the race within the time limit
Do not really now why I posted it here, maybe just to get a little boost of motivation! |

Good luck! Will you take part in the other three races of the "klassiker" as well or are you all in for Vasaloppet?

90kms, holy moly. Good luck for that! Sport events are always something really special, when people cheer you on at the start you can't help but to enjoy and smile. That is to say, I don't think there'll be much enjoying after KM 50.

Good luck viking! Know some who participated there earlier and finished, one dont have to be super-fit either too reach the finish line in a reasonable time
Btw, heard the start is a total cluster-fuck with alot of chaos .. So good luck with getting out in one piece After that it should be much more enjoyable and organized.

@emre 7000 participants? It's actually 15 800 who is registered for the race and thats the maximum amount.
The tickets was sold out in 90 seconds as every year...
@lakebeach Thanks! right now it´s only Vasaloppet I´m going for but I have thought about those other events aswell but I´m not much of a runner and 30 kms is long for me
@ shonak Thanks! Hopefully there will be many people cheering after those 50 kms aswell then
@ dev4ever Thanks! I guess it´s just as much in your own head as how well trained you are to finish the race. Yepp! those first kms will go veeeeeeery slow with people all over the place, just hope I dont crack a pole or ski.... |

So yesterday I skied Vasaloppet, it was a hard race with snowing at the start so the first 60 km was without any ski tracks, but the last 30 km was more fun to ski. Finish time 10 hours 16 minutes. Happy I managed to complete the race
