So yeah, Van Aert with a good start thanks to Merlier, but he was just dragging Mathieu and van der Haer along. I thought it was bad judgement at the time, cause Nys, Pauwels and Sweeck were just behind. Eventually they got back and Nys got his moment of glory setting pace for Van Aert. A surprise David VDP as well, doing great work for his brother. Then the big wtf moment, Mathieu making a mistake and blocking Wout, both had to cooperate there to get it fixed. Van der Haer taking advantage to attack and yes he's a lame wheelsucker, but there was no need to boo him, let alone throw beer at him.

And then Sweeck brought Van Aert back into the race and he got back, the last lap was just incredible. I really wished Pauwels would give Nys third place, but that may have been a bit too much.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Van der Haar is anything but a wheelsucker. If anything he should suck wheels more, because he wastes a lot of energy by riding at the front.

then again, would I care if van der Poel/Haar were italians, probably not Sad

Belgians are always like that in cross

somehow they managed to get even worse in the sportivity aspect

VDP said that there shouldn't be World Championships in Belgium for the next 10 years. Seems harsh considering it's the craddle and middle point of the sport but he's right when he says that he's everytime the same.

VDP senior or one of the brothers? But yeah, it shouldn't happen. The problem is that it's a minority that only come watch because it's the worlds ruining for the majority, the real cross fans, who would never do that.

Yeah, but that is like with football hooligans. You can either make the competition secure for the athletes as the organisator, or you should be banned from hosting it. The majority in this case should put a pressure on these idiots and get them out of the races/calm them down, or all will loose a chance to host the biggest events.

Sweeck winning a race, after Van Aert seemed to return the favour from last week. Mathieu totaly cracked halfway and the weirdest moment was when Vanthourenhout just broke his wheel on a sidewayed slope.

VDP finally not bonking anymore and instead repeating his victory of Superprestige race Hoogstraten in front of nemesis Van Aert and Tom Meeusen.

Talking about VDP and the road - one of the forum's favourite topics: the boy does whatever he wants: Now he is targetting Rio. For Mountainbike though!

(This makes my selection of him in Daily Fantasy season the most pointless of the season tho...)

Cool to see VdP having a crack at MTB, he has great technique, so he should not have a problem there. I want to see him battling with Sagan there, but i think he totally gave up on thoughts about olympic MTB race (he was speaking about it in the past years).

VDP the strongest on Sunday. But he broke his frame after a crash, combined with what happened to Vanthourenhout the day before, I'm starting to worry if all that new light material is sturdy enough for safety.

Good to see him try MTB, let's see how far he can get. Both Nys and Pauwels tried it in the past, but aside from a few national titles, they never got anything done at the highest level.

Well that's it for this season.
More importantly, that's it for Sven Nys in cyclo-cross as a rider.

Beautiful career. Fantastic. We'll miss him in the field!

Femke Van den Driessche retires, pretty much confirming her guilt.

Nah, if she was woth something, whe would really admit it. Now she just says, that it would be too costly to defend herself, when everybody is against her. Rolling Eyes
