Hey guys!
Here's the 2016 January GFX Contest. After a successful last year, we start 2016 with motivation. After my idea of running these contests since March, we have got a nomination in PCM.daily Awards 2015 in Best User Project award. Thanks to everyone who nominated us!
The rules will be the same: no real shirts, maximum of 5 shirts per user, availabilty of changing the entries and only presenting a shirt once, even if it has more than one version.
The deadlines... You can present until the end of this month and voting time will last until the 4th of the next month under this voting system:
1.- SPONSOR NAME (SHIRTMAKER) (5 POINTS)
2.- SPONSOR NAME (SHIRTMAKER) (4 POINTS)
3.- SPONSOR NAME (SHIRTMAKER) (3 POINTS)
4.- SPONSOR NAME (SHIRTMAKER) (2 POINTS)
5.- SPONSOR NAME (SHIRTMAKER) (1 POINT)
It's obvious you can't vote your own designs!

Hello.
I didn't want to write this message but now I feel obliged to do so. I started up these contests because I had started Shirtmaking and I could learn from the best guys while I "compete" with them.
But as the months have passed, activity has reached a minimum level. Only some people (Sutty, Matt, Bugno or Kiserlovski) voted and I think I shouldn't waste any more time in something you don't care about.
I am sorry for the shirtmakers who entered their shirts here, for the people who always voted and for the ones who thought this could be nominated for the Daily awards. Sorry for all of those.

Honestly you can't be too surprised about low activity in shirt making in January. A big part of the fantasy shirts generally posted in the forum is also already in this thread.
I'd probably have posted my two MG shirts here as well.
It took longer, than I expected when you began these contests, that you end this with a whiny post. So, hats off for that. |

No Bikex, I don't complain about activity concerning entries, but voting activity. Only a few people waste 5 minutes of their life voting once a month, and that's very bad for my motivation as you might have noticed

The reason I never took part in this, even though I used to run one of these, is because - why does there always need to be a no.1? - There doesn't.
If you start something like the 'monthly graphics magazine' (similar to what mre + all used to do with the PCM story reviews) where jersey-making tips are given as well as graphical advice and an overview of the latest jerseys released on the site: then I think that would be much more helpful to everyone. |

Okay then. I just checked the voting of the last month and the winner got 51 points, which means at least 11 people voted for him, so I guess ~15 voted in total, which is not a low number at all imo, especially around new Year.
This probably comes from your 2015 Contest, which I can totally understand that not many are voting as I guess many don't get the concept and the entire voting system of that contest seems very randomn and not easily understandable. I think you pretty much ruined your motivation for the well going monthly contests yourself by adding a weird extra contest. |
