Would you be interested in making a variant for the Tour of Austria? |

This depends. I normally prefer to create real races. And not sure right now if the 2016 Tour of Austria route is published yet. But if you have gpx files with a possible route, I would at least look at it.
But I won`t have time this week and not sure how much I will have afterwards. |

Perhaps you should finish Tour of New Zealand first mate. It looks damn good and then dedicate it to a Great Kiwi that just passed away, Jonah Lomu.
That was indeed sad getting that news.
That of course if you are a fan of The Mighty All Blacks ??

Indeed this was sad news today as I am clearly a big fan of them.
And I promise it will be finished as soon as I find some more time.
Might continue with it next week I guess. |

Tour of New Zealand - South Island Course

The South Island course starts on the foot of Bluff Hill and goes North through Invercargill passing Invercargill Airport and the Winton Velodrome. Following the street finishing with some late hills at Jack`s Point.
The 2nd stage starts just a couple of kilometers later in Queenstown, known for lots of adrenalin events. Then after the sprint in Arrowtown, the toughest part of the whole tour waits for the riders. A really tough and steep climb at Arrow Junction with 2-digits slopes. It this point passed a descent and flat towards Wanaka. While this could lead to some selection, I decided to make it flat rated due to the long flat in the end. But being a hilly sprinter surely helps.

Day 3-6 are for the sprinters as well. A couple of climbs will make sure to deliver a KoM jersey to the break.
The 7th stage then for the puncheurs. But actually it`s not the hardest, so also some sprinters might go over it with the main group.
The final day is the same as on the Northern Route. A short criterium in Wellington, where North and South pelotons will ride together (theoretically, not in PCM).
Finally! The Tour of New Zealand South Island Course is finished.
For PCM the North and South Island Race is an 8-day stage race. The final day is the Beehive Criterium in Wellington each, which is normally ridden together as final day/celebration course. |

And off to Kiwi-land then.
Better get them zcts-stages from Stage Database, so I can quickly convert them to pcm14.
Looking forward to it mate. New Zealand has now so many races so together with Australia it will have an own Oceanic Tour in my DB. Just a pitty the career-game can't be run in those winter months Nov-Dec.
When it's summer and warm (hot) Down Under ...
Only a bit surprised on the parcours. North Island starts in the north and ends in Wellington then reverse for the South Island. I thought it should keep going from Wellington down to the south tip .
Then of course one should use them separatly. One year the race goes on the South Island, another year on the North. always ending as it should in Wellington.
Brilliant

You misunderstood it.
The South and North Island race starts at the same time.
Half the peloton starts in the far North. The other half starts in the far South. They both go one week and will meet in Wellington at the 8th day, where the full peloton is riding the final Crit together.
Unfortunately such scenario is not possible in PCM.
So for those, that want to make a full 15 day stage race, just use North 1-8 and then South 7-1 in this order. |

Coming next is the Tour de San Luis 2016. It became more and more popular in the last couple of years and is no longer a CT event only. Several WT teams and GT contenders start their season preperation here.
In 2016 the race starts with a TTT. 2 mountain stages will decide the GC with 2 pure sprinter stages and another 2 for puncheurs/sprinters.
Stage 1: El Durazno - El Durazno (TTT)
Download
Screens:
Stage 2: San Luis - Villa Mercedes
Download
Stage 3: El Potrero de los Funes - La Punta
Download
Stage 4: San Luis - Cerro del Amago
Download
Stage 5: Renca - Juana Koslay
Download
Stage 6: La Toma - Filo Sierras Comechingones
Download
Stage 7: San Luis - San Luis
Download
Stage 6 surely the hardest with one hell of a climb. Long climb, high percentages everywhere and in especially on the last third.
Stage 4 adds another mountain finish. Also a tough one but probably the one with less gaps.
Stage 3 is the only other real chance for GC riders to attack on the final hill.
Stage 2 actually is same as the 2015 Stage 1. So I used this one.

Oooh, that last climb on stage 6 is cruel! I love it!
Very nice job with the rest of the race. I really like it. Thanks roturn. |

Yeah mate, I think I did. But still playing- and realistic thinking I still think my idea on using them seperate, then it will not be too long stage race in Kiwi land.
If not it's almost like an Aussie/Kiwi version of Vuelta Colombia (15 stages) for 2.2 and the minor teams. Just much harder to fit it in with all the other fine races in Australia and New Zealand that you and tsmoha have created.
Can't wait to try out your San Luis version. It's looking very good

Volta ao Algarve finished.
A bit for everyone. Stage 2 favours the climbers more but puncheurs might be able to reduce their loss as it`s not too mountaineous.
Stage 5 exact opposite. This time favouring the puncheurs more. But top stage racers should be up as well.
The ITT on day 3 will also help to sort the GC.
Stages 1 and 4 are for sprinters. So with couple of hills on both stages, the track sprinters might not want to go here. |

This will be fun roturn. Guess sprinters might try it out, and even Cav had a go 2014, winnning the last stage, so Greipel tried 2015 and took the same stage. Greipel might go for Algarve this year too,

Indeed a couple of sprinters will race it in real. Great preperation race. Kittel, Boonen, Greipel, Rojas, Haussler, Porsev, Groenewegen, Stuyven, Bauhaus just from those fast finishers, that are already confirmed there for 2016. |

After using Cyanide`s stage first for the Tour de San Luis Stage 2, I now made it from scratch as there were border errors at the finish, which couldn`t be solved without their zcts files.
This should be fixed with the updated version in the Stage DB. |

Checked my 2012 Tour of Qatar and decided to re-route it a bit to make it the 2016 version.
Biggest change: Only 5 stages in 2016. So the 11km ITT will have an even bigger impact.
Stage 1: Dukhan - Al Khor Corniche
Download
Stage 2: Katara Cultural Village - Qatar University
Download
Stage 3: Lusail Circuit (Individual time-trial)
Download
Stage 4: Al Zubarah Fort - Madinat Al Shamal
Download
Stage 5: Sealine Beach Resort - Doha Corniche
Download
