There has already been a couple of races this season and I suppose we better start to make our predictions before the first WT races start.
- Van Avermaet will finally win a big classic.
- Dumoulin will win a tight Giro prologue ahead of Cancellara.
- Landa will win the Giro.
- Caleb Ewan will win at least three stages of the Giro.
- Quintana will win the Tour.
- Kittel will be the best sprinter in the Tour but Sagan will win the points jersey.
- Kwiatkowski will not come up with any good results.
- Cavendish will not win a stage of a Grand Tour.
- No Swedish rider will grab a single world tour point.
My 2015 predictions:
Spoiler - Navardauskas wins Milano - Sanremo ahead of Cancellara. NOPE
- Wiggins podiums in Paris - Roubaix. NOPE
- Contador wins a close Giro ahead of Aru. Kind of...
- Quintana dominates the Tour, wins ahead of Nibali and Froome. NOPE
- Boasson Hagen wins a stage in the Tour. NOPE
- Betancur manages to stay fit and finishes top 3 in the Vuelta. NOPE
- Cancellara wins the RR World Championships. NOPE
"It's very hard to work with other guys because nobody wants to work with me so it's better to drop everybody." - Peter Sagan

My 2015 predictions:
Spoiler - Vanmarcke will win his first big monument, beating Wiggins in a sprint not even close
- De Gendt will win a big race hahaha, nope
- Evans wins Tour Down Under quite close actually
- Greipel will struggle to win a race (Farrar-style) totaly wrong
- Basso wins the Giro, then gets busted for doping I actually feel guilty about this prediction now
- Quintana takes le Tour this is the closest I got
- Contador takes the Vuelta if he had started, sure!
- Gesink will crash repeatedly YOU CANT COUNT ON ANYTHING THESE DAYS
- Rojas will finish 4th repeatedly this probably happened, but cba to look it up
Obviously, I need to think about this stuff before I write it. Predicitions will come next week
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

- Taylor Wiles will continue to be the goddess she is (no bias at all)
Nailed it!

My 2015 predictions:
Spoiler - Simon Gerrans won´t win Tour Down Under
Dennis did it
- Betancur´s season will disappoint
His best result was a 2nd place in a Giro stage, so yes, he disappointed
- Contador will win Giro and will podium Tour
So close! He won Giro but was 5th at TdF
- Froome will win a GT
He did it, so yeah
- Nibali´s season will disappoint
Definitely not
- Kwiatkowski will win one Ardennes
Amstel Gold Race
- Kwiatkowski won´t have the "rainbow curse"
Half yes, half not, winning one of the Ardennes treble was good!
- König will be in Top 5 in a GT
6th at Giro, close
- Majka will podium in a GT
Vuelta a España
- Quintana won´t win a GT, but he will be close
YES!
- Cancellara won´t win a Flanders classic (P-R, RVV, E3 or G-W)
NO!
- Sagan will win San Remo
No, he didn't
- Vanmarcke will win at least a Flanders classic
A pity he didn't
- Joaquim RodrÃguez´s season won´t be good, but he will win some late season classics
PaÃs Vasco + 2nd at Vuelta: good season
- Valverde will win an Ardennes classic
One and even two
- Gilbert will be in podium at least in two Ardennes classics
His best result was a 10th, so no
Some ones for this season:
- Dennis will repeat as TDU winner
- Alaphilippe will show up very good at the very first tours of the year
- Kwiatkowski will disappoint this time, at least in the first part of the season, but he will win a stage at TdF
- Degenkolb won't win any monuments, but he will have a crucial paper at Worlds
- Froome will get injured in the GT he rides
- Quintana will win his second GT
- The best place Contador will get in a GT will be 2nd
- Valverde will get at least 1 Ardennes classic
- Cancellara won't win any monuments or Flandres classics

- Sagan will win a Flandres classic
- Il Lombardia will be won by a non-European rider
- Benoot will Top 3 a monument
- Van Avermaet will get injured at E3 or GW, so he won't ride the other Flanders classics
- Kittel will win at least 3 stages of the GT he rides
- Ewan will fight for the win at World Championship
- Dumoulin will fight for the GC of the GT he rides, but he will disappoint
- Same will happen with Gallopin
- One of the Yates will finally have a nice GC at a GT
- Aru will have too much pressure after his great 2015 and he won't even get a Top 3 at a GT
- Kristoff will improve in cobbles, although his sprint skills won't shine as much

- Kwiatkowski is having another huge season winning one Ardennes (Let`s count this. He won AGR but was not that huge afterwards. Good until then though)
- Daniel Martin won`t crash in LBL taking a podium (DNF...)
- Degenkolb wins a cobbled classic (Definitely won this one)
- Kittel takes the most sprint wins in GT`s (and definitely lost this one)
- Tony Martin wins the Worlds ITT (nope)

- Nerz will come close to a top10 in the Vuelta or top15 in the Tour (Abandoned in 21st of the Tour. Still lost...he should have fully focussed on Vuelta as top10-15 goal imo)
For 2016:
- Lampaert will improve from 2015
- Alaphillipe won`t be as good as last year in the Ardennes being far behind Martin
- Peter Sagan wins a monument!
- As also another green jersey in the Tour
- Aru don`t podium in the Tour
- Simon Gerrans will start huge with a TdU win and will at least podium in 2 Ardennes week classics
- Tony Martin top10`s in either Paris Roubaix or Ronde van Vlaanderen
- Landa won`t top5 any GT

we don't talk about preditions in this lifetime
Spoiler 2015 preditcionts
- Sagan will win classic after classic after classic etc, etc.
wrong but he won the big one :'(

shit, shit and shit

keeping the wrong streak going, at least I haven't noticed
- a dutchie wins a WT event.
hahahahahahahahaha, Terpstra got close
- Luis Leon Sánchez wins a big race
now I'm really sad about this one
Dumoulin wins the Rio Time Trail.
a different dutchie wins the Rio Road Race.
The Netherlands earns a medal on each event excluding mountain bike at the Olympics.
one GT will have a undeserved winner (a rider outside list of favorites of a generic GT)
Sagan does not care about "the curse of the rainbow jersey"
Milan-San Remo/Paris-Roubaix double will be repeated by someone.
probably could make some other bold predictions but I can't think of them right now.

Posted it in the wrong thread before and now lost the text
Don't feel like making it again so I'll sum it up:
- That rider who's done something before, but potentially has had a lesser season/or not, will do something (again) and win (some type of race) in some manner.
Oh and an underdog sprinter to take the WC in the sprint. Someone like Coquard, Matthews, Sagan. Not one of the big sprinters like Kittel, Cavn Greipel. |

Amazing how opposite my blind bet will be:
- Kittel is going to have a awfull season.
If he stays healthy he will be best again. Who can wait and play at Champ Elysee like 1,5 years ago.
- Peter Sagan will not win a monument.
Sry. he's time has started now.
- Sagan will win the PCS Ranking.
- EBH is going to win a stage in the TDF.
No way
- Froome will win the tour.
Not this time. If movistar wont fuck this up..Quintana has it.
- Kwaitek is going to have a excellent season.
Yes
- Gerrans will win a Ardenne classic.
Not
- Vanmarcke is going to beat Cancellara in a sprint to win PR
No. Vanmarcke still missing something what makes him ace rider ace Sagan is, Ettix whole lineup, Cancellara was |

- Only one of Degenstache and AK-47 take a monument
- Valv takes a Grand Tour, I'll go out on a limb and say Giro, but definitely adds it to his podium collection
- Cancellara podiums a monument but doesn't win (just beat out fanboy triple + top 5 worlds RR)
- Dumoulin and Dennis both take a week long stage race but underwhelm in GTs, not just mountains either
-Gerrans takes his last WT win but it isn't a monument
- Valverde has another amazing season but shows signs of less consistency but still the same class
- Quintana has form to win a GT and shows it by winning TDF but falter rest of season (excluding a Tirenno win a la this year) by working entire season trying to beat Froome
- Froome takes TDF-Rio TT double and nearly triple with RR but isn't punchy enough
- Nibz takes Rio RR
- Uran will show old form with a top 5 in a GT
- Hesjedal has some stellar GT moments in stages but can't cut it overall
- Valv takes an Ardennes classic
- Boonen and Cancellara both a part of the battles at the front in one of the cobbled monuments
- San Remo is won by nailbiting Poggio attack
- Both Bennetts take thier first ever GT stage
- Sagan takes a stage with his green jersey but is still mostly unlucky 2nds and 3rds
- Kittel is back but not as good as 2014
- Crosswinds mess things up in Doha (just pleeeeeeease)
- Zakarin doesn't get caught doping
- Chaves/Nibz/Valv podium at the Giro
- Bertie and Froome within a minute of each other at TDF
- Another Yates WT classic win, as well as 2 GT stage wins and a KoM fight
- I manage to follow womens cycling enough to make some fairly clued up predictions for this year.
- Van Aert still doesn't win Worlds
- Bevin makes strong showings in HC races for Cannandale and puts in some decent leadout and domestique WT work but no personal glory
- Plaza is a decent buy for Orica but isn't at last year's form but still same tactical savvy and aggressiveness. Amets isn't amazing but solid buy withs oem close calls at La Vuelta
- I make so many of these predictions a more complicated one (not: Valv takes Ardennes classic because that's easy ) is bang on (not likely)
- Peter Sagan takes a god damn monument

Bit late now, but still...
-Kwiat will win two Tour stages after Froome gets injured
-EBH will win a GT stage
-A Dimension Data rider will lead a GT at some point
-Dan Martin will have an awful season
-Dumoulin to win all three Giro TTs
-Degenkolb to make amazing recovery after missing all the monuments to win World Championships
Disclaimer- Most of my posts are me thinking aloud. And most of what I think is rubbish.
