Hopefully we can win a few nice and shiny NC jerseys to make our riders stand out better in our return to CT and to make some of the guys we might sell more marketable to help us bring in more funds to secure our targets and also to help make some of the guys I need to loan out more appealing by letting them take an NC jersey with them.

Finland should be safe and with the expected AI anything can happen in all my other races as I have no stand-out favourite.

Okay if I don't win the Belgian NC jersey this season then I'm going to have to accept that I never will.
NCs don't arrive when you expect them, but precisely when you least expect them
Well now I'm hoping for La Lavandier to take the French NC...

Jaser riding to his NC's so good on him. Will hopefully get a nice jersey made for him for next season when we see him in the sprints.

Thanks for the report and congrats to the managers!
Stefan Petrovski with yet another NC double from Macedonia, this never gets old.
And after several years on different loans, he should finally ride in our squad. Thanks to COC team for developing his skills.
We have several NC candidates, but with NCs being absolute lottery (this year also the TTs!), anything can happen, i just hope Zmorka can grab his title in Ukraine chrono and Pluchkin/Tanovitchii fight for moldova title.

French NC looks like a long shot and I can see Demare, Bouhanni or Lavoine taking that.
All the rest are in the hands of the NC Breakaway gods, and I am preying for at least one. Gabon would be nice due to the very colourful NC made for Thaouta!

Kind of unusual to only be part of three national championships, but hopefully we can defend the one that really matters, the Norwegian RR, either with a favourite (Kristoff/Holst Enger) or with a random breakaway. Definitely no big hopes for Guldhammer and Martin, eventhough the courses are good for them, as breakaways must be favourites there.
Great to see the first report already out there! |

Wait, does that mean I win the Burkina Faso jersey just for riding? In which case, thanks, it's one of the best.

Indeed.
Minoungou is the only Burkina Faso rider in a team as Kenya no longer has Bikienga signed as in 2014. Also the others are FA`s. |

Very nice My hope for the cobbled NC actually played out, to get a Schleck in the breakaway
Andy gets his first NC win, and the jersey gets to stay in team with Feiereisen. 3rd year in a row that a relatively useless rider will wear the jersey, but at least he will do it for my team
Job done nicely by Jungels too. Thanks trek. Nice to have this as first race, rather than last race as it was the last two seasons!

Is it a new way of running the NC's to get better results, to split a teams rider into 4 teams, while all of them could have been in 1?

Im not sure how common it was, but I did it last year with Japan, since iirc I had something like 14 riders and all the other teams combined only had about 5.

For smaller nations, generally teams with multiple riders were given a choice as to how they wanted to split their riders up. (by PM) This isn't the first year that has happened.

I've done exactly the same for Ukraine. Split my team in 4, and a fifth team with the loaned out Golovash, hoping to maximize my chances to win the RR. Polivoda gets maximum support whilst Prevar, Topchanyuk and Kononenko are all 1 man teams for breakaways. Just using the oppurtunities given to you, nothing wrong or new with that.

I didn't say anything was wrong with it, I just haven't noticed it before. IMO it is much better that the focused teams get those NC jerseys than some random breakaway bloke.

Great start for SN - thought nobody would wear the lux nc, but like the fact that nr. 2 will get to wear it instead.
About splitting up teams - it makes zero sence that splitting up your team gives you higher % chance of winning, but for some reason in helps in PCM.

Andy Schleck winnning on cobbles. Can happen only in MG.
The question is if the second rider from Lux Champs should not have the right to wear the jersey though as Schleck already has a speacial jersey to wear the next year.

There's already a precedent for it. Last year Max Richeze won the Argentina NC, but already was the B World Champ, so the runner-up Mauro Richeze got to wear the jersey this season. Have in the past taken World Champions out of their NC, but that wasn't practical this year as many NCs were already ready before the Worlds.
Likewise, whoever is 2nd in the Moldovan TT will get to wear the NC jersey this year.
