I am wondering. Can i change the starting stats of a newgen?
When a gen is a sprinter. He never starts with higher than 62 mountain for example. |

Sadly, no one has figured out how to do that yet. We do think it's hard coded in the game and therefore impossible to change editing neither the database, nor local.cdb, nor an xml file.

That´s a petty, especially beacause rider types like Benoot, GVA, Sagan and Rojas are impossile to get in the game

Maybe it's impossible to change it in "Be a pro" mode, but you can change newgens that will be generated in career mode modifying xml files in Pro Cycling Manager 2015/Xml/YoungRiderCarac
It certainly works because I'm in the testing phase for my new fantasy database and I'm changing those files to find out how some changes work and I can see effects. |

Yup, I was assuming he was talking about Be a Pro. It of course is very doable to do for the career new gens, although it still takes quite a lot of time.

To edit them, you simply need to open those files with the notepad (I advise using Notepad++). The process is actually straightforward, you edit the minimum and maximum stats for each range of age and potential (the potentials are those from 0 to 7 in the file, and correspond to the potentials 1 to 8 in the db).

thanks, but maybe he have already edit these files and i can download them from him.
By the way, i saw also the chance of finishing an escape group in the xml files. Is there some advise in editing these? I like to have the escape group finish more often afront of the peloton. In simulation mode i mean |

I'm currently in testing phase. I've basically edited everything. Just started a new career to see how it will pan out after 10-15 seasons (I will simulate all races so I'm able to progress at least a season per day). The problem is that my changes are more complex and include editing some things in DB also, so I will not be sure how everything works in isolation. Moreover, some of the changes are planned purely for my fantasy DB and I'm not sure you would like to use those files because they're not made to fit realistic databases.
I will publish the effect of my testing and share my solutions in the future, but I don't think they're ready, yet. |
