Excellent tour for the veteran Schumacher, he might be getting older but he still knows how to win

26/5 GP Plumelec-Morbihan: 181.2 km (Cat. 1.1)
Manoir de La Sauldraye, original build early sixteenth century.
Christina: We are here in Plumelec, Brittany region, in north-western France. Nobody knows when Plumelec was founded, but it is most likely that Celts immigrating from the British Isles around 500-600 AD founded the city. The Town and nearby wooden Castle of Callac was burned by Vikings in 938, a new stone castle was built in the site.
Château de Callac à Plumelec, original built in the tenth century.
Pre-race startegy: Schumacher came 2nd last year, but he is in Bayern, we expect a good result, at least a top 5. We have Elissonde in the race, but he is out of form, we expect Pacheco or Holst Enger to have the best chances. We expect to stay in the peloton.
Roster:
Anders Bjerregård
Francisco José Pacheco
Frederik Wilmann
Kenny Elissonde
Lasse Christiansen
Philip Nielsen
Simon Bigum
Sondre Holst Enger
After a hard morning with a lot of unsuccessful attacks, eventually a break of 6 gets away. The strongest rider in the break seems to be Brian Vandborg (Cannondale Pro Cycling).
Frederik Wilmann have got excellent legs today, he decides to test them, and attacks on the first hill, trying to catch group Vandborg.
Wilmann gets up to the group without wasting to much energy. Together they get over 6 minutes.
But it is a tough stage, as soon as the peloton starts to speed up, the minutes disappear one by one, the break is reeled in on the last hill, and it all ends in a mass sprint. Mikel Nieve (Liberty Seguros) wins over Jérôme Coppel (Cofidis), our best was Sondre Holst Enger (8).
Christina: Not that we had hoped for, seen in the light of last year, but no disaster either two riders in top 10 is a fine result.
Result:
1 Mikel Nieve Liberty Seguros - Würth 4h16'26
2 Jérôme Coppel Cofidis, Solutions Crédits s.t.
3 Guillaume Levarlet Cofidis, Solutions Crédits s.t.
4 Sylvain Georges Sojasun s.t.
5 Daniel Navarro Cofidis, Solutions Crédits s.t.
6 Alessandro De Marchi Bardiani Valvole - CSF Inox s.t.
7 Jan Polanc Team Differdange - Losch s.t.

Christina: Hi, Im in London, The board have just had a meeting, evaluating the first half of the season, compared to last year at the same time.
2015 | nr. | Rider | 2014 | nr. | Rider | Continental: | | | Continental: | | | Team Rank | 2 | | Team Rank | 6 | | Rider Rank | 4 | Elissonde | Rider Rank | 8 | Pacheco | | | | | | | OQ | | | OQ | | | Team Rank | 21 | | Team Rank | 31 | | Rider Rank | 22 | Elissonde | Rider Rank | 168 | Pacheco | | | | | | | Victories | 2 | Elissonde/ Pacheco | Victories | 3 | Pacheco/Zaballa | Team Victories | 7 | | Team Victories | 6 |
The management is very pleased with this result, with less races in the last part of the year, we might decline some, but that is OK.

No, but he's form is not set for this, so we cant blame him.
I havent got many riders in top shape for the nationals, because we dont have many other races in june and july. Next year i will try to think more about the nationals, would be so cool, with a rider in a nat. jersey.

Good to see the team remains just as strong as least season even with tougher opposition. Pacheco staying with the team looks like an important signing

Thanks !
Pacheco was an importat signing us and we have given him some thinking, due to the fact, that he was asking for quite a salary increase. But we have decided that he will be worth it, and that gives us time to find the right replacement.

sutty68: Our riders are not strong enough against the topriders, especialy when the form is not perfect. Elisonde was close, but when the attacking started eventualy he couldent hang on, too much flat between those hill's.
AbhishekLFC: No, I dont see it as a problem, cant expect to win all the time, with a continental team, actually that why CT is fun, you have to be patient, and celetrate those few good results you can get.

Have to get that break rider in the smaller champs. Guess it's that realism vs results thing, I usually attack a lot if I have a favorite or two to keep it together or out a similair level rider into the break for some fun if it seems right.
Still some very promising results lately for Christina Watches
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."
