I can't really find any issues in the sta_race table. Nonetheless, found an error in sta_stage as for the brabantse pijl, where the computed date was faulty (in pcm 11 it had to be (month*50)+day, but except that, nothing else that could result in continue crashes...
If all is happening since your pc upgrade, my only advice is reinstalling the game and anything else you may need to install (EP 2012 for PCM 11 I'm assuming) and see if the same problem occurs.

Okay, how do I correct the Brabantse Pijl error?
I'll try reinstalling it then. What is EP 2012? |

Go in sta_stage, Brabantse Pijl, instead of that UNIX timestamp - the long number - you should put the correct computed date, which is (4x50=200)+13=213.
I'm assuming you had to install the Expansion Pack 2012 for PCM 11 to make your update work. Otherwise this might be the cause of all those crashes.

I don't recall. Maybe I had installed it on the old computer, but I dont know, frankly. But I definitely haven't on this one. How do I get it, and what is it? |

This one: https://pcmdaily.com/infusions/pro_dow...hp?did=836
I'm not sure if you actaully installed that db but chances are that if you made this update with a 2012 starting date, then you based it off that db.

And it's not gonna overwrite anything I've made in my own db, right? |

If all the changes you have made are in the cdb file, then no.

Okay, I downloaded that EP 12 update, and here's the fun part: It got worse. Didn't really think it could, but now it can't even launch the game. I've tried both the launch menu and the original exe but it just goes black, then white, then black again and crashes. WTF?! |

That seems to be a really weird issue. Are you sure your Video Card drivers are up to date? Also I'm assuming you are on Windows 7, if not what system is that?

Yeah, I am on Windows 7. Im not sure they are, Im not really good with computers. But just yesterday I tried to race a stage with the default database and it worked marvelously well. On my old com it was always very choppy, but on this one it's really smooth. I'd wish it worked |

I'm sorry I have no clue then. Not sure if you tried reinstalling PCM yet, in that case it would be the last resort.

Okay, so I tried to reinstall - as expected, it had no effect.
So I think I'm gonna buy either PCM14 or PCM15, (is PCM15 worth buying? It costs double as much as 14) but first you would need to assure me that I can convert my db to that game relatively simply, and that it won't fuck that game up as well. |

Converting is actually really easy! Especially considering yours is a 2015 update, you'd have all the right 2015 jerseys and stages already, so wouldn't need to convert those as well, which normally is 99% of the effort. PCM 15 is worth it although there are many unsolved bugs (teams have more than 30 riders and thus don't respect the hard coded limit, U23 races are unplayable and so on) but the greatly done ProCyclist mode makes it worth it.

What 2015 update? Do you mean my own db? I don't have any updated jerseys or stages, I've only edited the individual riders. A lot of them.
I've read that the ProCyclist mode is good, but that your teammates are poorly done. Tactically. They don't know when to lead the peloton or get water.. Is that true? |

That's totally untrue. I've been a beta tester this year and having paid particular attention to that mode I can say that the AI is better programmed than what you'd think. If anything, they protect you too much, absolutely false that they don't carry water bottles or lead the peloton.
Yes I was talking about your very own db. I know that you didn't add jerseys and stages, hence why it surely will be really easier.

Ah okay, I get it. I'll try and fiddle with it tomorrow then.
Think I might just buy PCM15. |

I've bought PCM15!
Kinda like it so far, although I miss my own db. I'm thinking of just redoing it all again, after all I have all the stats in my PCM11 db editor, and the editors are almost identical.
The thing that I don't like about the original db is that so many riders are so poor and there is such a big difference between ProTour riders and the others. So the update I'm making is basically to make all the riders better and increase the equality, because I really think it is increasing in real cycling these years.
My only fear, though, is, will it destroy the Pro Cyclist mode, do you think? If all riders get a boost to their stats and you start with a PCM-generated rider with horrible stats, will it be too hard to work your way up?
So what I really wanna ask is if there is some way to increase the starting stats given to the Pro Cyclist, or is that out of the question? |

There is no way to increase the starting stats sadly, there is no file/table where they can be edited so it means that they are just hard coded.
The progression for the pro cyclist is pretty fast so I wouldn't say it will be hard to make his way to the top. If I were you, I'd just edit his stats in the editor after you start the career. With a look at the backup stats mostly, those are stupidly low compared to his rivals.

Okay, great. How do I edit the pro cyclist's stats though? I don't suppose he'll come up in the editor, as he's not a real cyclist.. |
