Whelp f*ck me.... Not quite sure what happened but my rFactor got screwed up. The .exe stopped working and i couldn't fix it. So had to redownload everything, which did fix the problem (only after litterally deleting everything and redownoading from scratch).
Except of course now i've got none of my set-up data and i have to re-map my controller and re-do my settings... yay...
Figure I better let people know about my current situation here, I currently don't have a computer, I am borrowing somebody else's at the moment (I do have PCM on it because my last one wasn't strong enough to play it), they won't let me download rfactor on it though, I should be awake at races from now on, but I'll have to work out a way to use rfactor, I should be able to, but maybe not in time for the race, we'll see.
Anyway, I thought I'd just let you know, I really want to get to race.

Thanks for letting us know. Good luck with your PC problems.
Hungary is simple. Wide roads and mid-speed corners could lead to some great action. Turn 1 and 2 is where most of the battle will happen. Sector 2 has a trouble-causing chicane(ask Luigi) and is quite technical. Sector 3 is the slowest one and having a good setup counts on that part of the track. Important is the white line at the end of the pits, which is not allowed to drive over.
The Favourites
TMM - TMM is still angry because of the Bathurst massacre, and he looks pretty fast. His driving style is a mix of Sliding and drifting. I think, that he is the man to beat on this track.
Paul23 - Paul still leads the championship, but despite having set the fastest time on the circuit with a 1:49:367, he isn't the favourite. Why? Because he isn't very confident in overtaking and with his lacking ability in starts, he will need to overtake.
ryant - He can easily go with TMM and Paul, but he needs to find the consistency to beat them. If he can qualify well and profit from Pauls starting problems, he could maybe battle TMM for the win.
Dark Horses
fjhoekie - He can also go the pace of those 3 above, but his consistency lacks. I guess he can hold on until the first pitstop. After the stops, it will be a question on whether he has the nerves on race day, or not.
jihardy - It seems like jihardy and Budapest are not friends. jihardy makes too much rookie mistakes right now and he has to step up his game massively, if he wants to go for a podium position
Miguel98 - Miguel? Ah! Miguel. He can race, he showed that before, but his laptimes in Hungary are still mediocre. But the roads are wide and could lead to some great battles with him.
Outsiders
SN - He is a solid mid-field-runner, so I guess he can finish within the Top5, if he drives as always and if he doesn't spins out at some point.
MurrayAdams - Is he still alive? Nobody knows...
dev4ever - Devs practising was promising for Bathurst. Can he deliver in Hungary?
Croatia14 - N/A
DubbelDekker - Mr. Consistent. What more to say?
Bikex - He showed his sexy Alfa on the track. And he is building up some speed. It will take him some time to catch up to the pace of the leaders, but he shows potential(maybe a pick for the next race)
Waghlon - N/A
Cliche-au - Not french, but australian.
valverde321 - Our only canadian driver will have trouble with the heat, in Hungary, I guess. Still not to be counted out.
Ian Butler - Ian, Ian, Ian. I really don't know what to say. I hope you are racing for some points.
trekbmc - This time no gif for trek. Luigi stole it. So trek is not allowed to crash on the Hungaroring
SSJ2Luigi -
P.S.: We should clearly have a betting page on daily

Thanks for the brilliant preview Paul. The whole community loves the fact that you're back.
I'm going all in for getting a couple of points here, the track seems alright, and I hope I can finish without crashing out this time, but I'm glad I'm not even considered an outsider here. No pressure on me whatsoever!
Btw. how many finishers gets point in a normal race? Top 6, top 8, top 10?
And yes, a betting page would be awesome!

The Top10 will get points, yes. So just completing the race should give you points!
I wouldn't count myself as a favorite now that i've lost all my set-up work.... Hopefully i can find it again or at least something close. But with how close the front runners were i could very well be in trouble already.
My luck will come.... at some point... right?
I guess I'll have to find a way on to get it back.
did you see the test race video from jihardy, you know that car that's upside down in lap 4. that was my second crash of that race. I don't think we have seen you crash live yet
I deserve that man and everybody that was at the practice race knows it
That's a challenge.
EDIT: @Paul: I've got contradictory goals . I guess I'll just race my best and we know which one I'll achieve.
Basically, I haven't practiced since last week (and only did 20ish laps that time with Paul and Luigi) because I haven't got a lot of time. So, when I found a bit more time today, I went to the server to practice.
Turns out, after 1 week without touching the circuit, I'm suddenly 4 seconds faster than I was before, and I'm only running very low 1:51's, mid-high 1:50's.

That is because of an update that increases grip, everyone's lap times have gone up by 4 seconds

I have an idea to have an rFactor skype group, there are some reasons for this
5. I will ask the streamers to have their call in that group so that if you disconnect you can join on commentary
other than possible interviews (what happend?, opinion on how your race was going?, expections on how's winning, etc) I don't see this work. what makes the commentary is that fact that both commentators see the race at the same time without delay and if you disconnect to the race and do commentary you can only react to what you see on stream and stream delay is close to 10~15 seconds that way
We could do interviews yes that is a good idea, about the commentary, there is a spectator mode in which I think you can join during the race
