[PT] Deutschland Tour
Welcome to the 9th edition of Deutschland Tour and this race has been here since the start of the MG organizations birth. This is a race for the punchers and the sprinters, where long flat races set the first terrain of Germany and the more hilly part is also visited often.
The best PT teams are here and the recent winners are Taylor Phinney (2014), Robert Gesink (2013) and Ivan Santaromita (2012, CT). This race has for the recent years been part of the Pro Tour, but it has been down in the CT and I think that this race is here to stay in the PT. Let's have a look at the participators!

Should have traded him to me while you still had the chance.

Hopefully Boasson Hagen comes with his stage racing legs and not his classics legs, then this should be a good race for us
Slightly surprised to not see Bakelants here, which could be smart if the hilly stages aren't selective/becomes a lottery like it tended to be when Tour of Norway was part of the Pro Tour.
We've only got six riders here as there was a tricky clash with Volta a Portugal combined with few riders on the team in general, but I do feel Boasson Hagen's five helpers should be able to cover the hilly stages well until the favourites starts to attack each other (if they race it properly that is), and then I can only cross fingers Boasson Hagen picks the right move(s).
For the sprints, Ciolek could be a pain for the PT teams, and his train is looking good as well. Hopefully Boasson Hagen can follow close behind the sprinters on the flat stages and avoid any time loss other than the bonifications.
Looking forward to the racing and the reports! |

We may have a problem here. This is not the full startlist, a number of teams are missing.

Good looking preview! We have an extremely strong field here. I would say that this is Schumacher's last chance for a good result in this race, but with this competition we'll probably just end up looking for table scraps. My money is on Trofimov. Hopefully the startlist issue doesn't cause too much of a problem.

You haven't followed PCT much, have you?
Though knowing my luck, he'll overperfom massively here.
I won't comment on the startlist/race before we have that issue sorted out.

I made a gamble to put Tzortzakis here, while hoping most others would send their top sprinters to Norway. How wrong I was. It would have been much better to send him to Norway and get a 8th-9th place than a couple of 5th places here.

I just noticed the same as SN, this is my "home-race" and I'm not even on the start-list... :-p

It was an cdb error with the game only being able to handle 22 teams and therefore I will have to report the whole race over again..
I might be able to post first stage tomorrow and then try and report a lot in the coming days, so hopefully this shouldn't cause much from you, just for me

Wow, even now the starlist looks amazing. This is going to be a hard race for us, Howard and Sagan will both likely have a tough time to get a good result here.

Always a pity to start a race from the scratch, good luck!
Hoping for Bobridge to join the attacks and not sitting up in the pack. We could really use a little boost after Le Tour, so we at least need to try! Would love to see Burghardt trying his luck somewhere, cause that's why he is here Those hilly stages could go two ways.. Hoping it will go the way that suits Oz then!

I do, but In the Pro Tour the best sprinters (without rubbish backup stats) tend to do well where they're expected to do well |

Oh come on, Metinvest. You already had the Tour!
Crap from Oz as expected Visconti losing time may actually be a good thing though..

Hopefully Kreder can do something notable here.
