[C1] Melaka's Governor Cup
Route
Welcome to the 2nd edition of Melaka's Governor Cup and welcome to a C1 sprinter classic, which have the potential to go down in the history books and there is a tense atmosphere between the teams. The route favors the sprinters, but attacks will occur throughout the race, where we will see the real fighters taking shape!

Anything in the top 15 from Luka Mezgec would be considered a satisfactory result. Might be able to sneak in a top 10 but those PCT sprinters are just too strong
Nice preview sgdanny. |

Another race where I have to rely on my sprint train *sigh*
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Got my full sprint squad in action so i really really need them to perform and challenge for a podium place to keep the season moving forwards. But then again, Kobe....

Impey here for us, his record in flat classics this season is great so hopefully he can keep that up here. |

Would be nice to win the lottery here. Castaneda, has had a good season up to now, c.140 points, on a very good day he could get on the podium but if the wind is up he could be nowhere.
8th place please, sg! |

Hopefully home nation advantage actually plays a part and allows Awang/ Manan to sprint. I think for the rest of teh season we've just got to hope to make a preview
Oh and who invited the quick CT guys to rob me of much needed points?

Final Countdown for Boonen with one of his last races. I think only two classics follow for him so it will be important to actually impress again.
Number one jersey is always a cool extra eventhough it does not mean anything.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Do I dare to dream for a top-10 placement for Matthews? |

Expectation of zero. Hopefully Kuznetsov with a late attack and Serebriakov with a good sprint. I think expecting top-10 wouldn't be unrealistic, but I've been let down before.

Strongest possible sprint squad sent here!
Will be tough to beat Ciolek and Cavendish but hopefully Ahlstrand can be at the top and fighting for the win and other then that I want Reimer/Kvist getting in some nice points scoring positions aswell.
I don´t want a replay of San Sebastian here
But won´t be surprised if Kupfernagel wins this!

A sprinters race in Asia is of course high priority for our sponsors, but as main sprinter Kip is in Austria, Nepomnyachsniy has to perform. Hope for a top 10. |

Our strongest possible sprint lineup, only one of three 82 sprinters present, the team being in desperate need of points...expecting a breakaway win.

11th isn't great, Impey managed to get on the back of a train but seemingly didn't have the speed. This race was probably just too flat for him I guess.
Congrats sutty on the win, and thanks for the report. Ciolek 20th though, cio won't be happy... |
