Your three choices are about as boring as mine as they're my three as well.
I thought somebody might be bold and say something like FDJ. |

Okay so I'm in Richmond and will be one of the spectators out there cheering. As for the racing, and making predictions there are lots of things that come into play. First this is a US race, and like basically all US races, the course simply isn't that hard.
This is a video of the college cycling championships held last year, featuring Libby Hill (the primary challenge to the course).

I'm not sure this little part of the race will really impact professional riders much at all. I think this will end up being a sprint, unless someone of power can put in an attack late in the race and the other teams just can't organize a chase.
So my picks:
TTT:
1. BMC
2. Etixx
3. Orica
BMC has won several of the major TTTs this year, I think it stays that way. No Van Garderen to race here, but they get Phinney back from his injuries sustained last year.
ITT:
1. Martin
2. Dennis
3. Dumoulin
RR:
I'm going to pick Greipel here, I think the race comes down to a sprint, with all the power that Germany has in the squad, I don't know that Martin will attack, and rather might be used to chase any late attacks.
My outside pick at this is Taylor Phinney, being in the US I'd be amazed if he didn't try a late attack, and he could be one of the strong riders that is very hard to pull back.

These are great picks Kent and based on how you've described the course as possibly not being too hard it makes sense that it could come to a sprint and Greipel would be the man.
I also fancied Phinney to try and do something given the fact he's the best US rider for a course like this, but he probably won't have the core strength needed after so long out with injury and really needed a hard race to get into shape, but I do expect him to show himself. |

Well it's not as bold as say FDJ but looking at the startlist I'd say 2 teams capable of an upset would have to be Tinkoff-Saxo with a real outside choice being Movistar
Hells 500 Crew and 6 x Everester
Don Rd Launching Place
Melbourne Hill Rd Warrandyte
Colby Drive Belgrave South
William Rd The Patch
David Hill Rd Monbulk
Lakeside Drive Emerald

Movistar good choice Strydz. My three obvious in this order:
1. Etixx
2. BMC
3. Orica
Outside Choice: Movistar
Crazy Choice: IAM
Such a shame with all this TTT talk that that part of the game doesn't work properly in 3D play, as it would be a great addition if it did work properly. |

I was convinced convinced it was sort of a special invitational things rather than something you could qualify for as such.
Just checked and they are a shared 7th on Asia Tour and none of the current top 3 take part...

Which is even more of a legitimation than Lupus Racing Team and Astellas Cycling Team can possibly have...
I like to think I at least heard of 98% of competitive cycling teams through my dedication for U23 and other random PCS results, but those names are absolutely new to me.
